Julia's POV

I trudge through the forest with Sky at my side with a scowl on her face as always.

"Why did we go this way in a dark forest where there is no help?"Sky complained.

"Because we don't want to look weak." I mumble.

"We're children for pete sake and you care more about that than your life." Sky yells.

"Keep quiet, you don't want the wolves to hear you do you?" I ask her.

She stayed quiet after that but then I heard a howl and Sky must've heard it to because her icy blue eyes widened. We both shared the same thought "run"

Sky got ahead of me quickly which is unusual because I'm faster, I try to go faster but my legs refuse, most of the time I have a lot of stamina and one of the fastest kids but Sky is smarter than me and almost as quick, but she runs out of stamina quickly but gains it back quickly when walking.

We lose energy Quickly and I begin to here the paws of the wolves trampling plants as they howl and bark while chasing us. Me and Sky urge ourselves to go faster and begin to get whacked repeatedly with branches and my face began to sting and bleed a little.

Soon I noticed it was beginning to be harder to run but then I notice the land was rising and I gulp. I look over at Sky and she is somehow staying calm, I wanted to say something but I didn't.

When we finally reach the top, there's a cliff, "no" I whisper as the wolves are almost in biting range.

The wolves start to close in and bare their fangs and they especially didn't like Sky, soon she was at the edge with two wolves at her side I screamed at her to be careful as a wolf lunges at her but she moves out of the way just in time but falls backwards in the abyss. "NO" I yell running to where she fell not caring about the wolves, as I broke down into sobs.
