Morning had come and Marinette was first to get up. She silently walked down the ladder and peeped at Adrien. He was still sound asleep and she sighed thankfully. 'Good, he's still asleep. Resting should be good for his head' She thought to herself as she went to examine his head. She didn't want to touch it because that would wake Adrien up. So she looked around for any leaking blood, she didn't find any.

She went to her desk and turned on her phone to text Alya. Today was a school day and she definitely couldn't go to school with Adriens head like that. She told Alya she wouldn't be there today.

Marinette went back to her contacts and pressed on Gabriel Agreste to call him. "This is Gabriel Agreste speaking, how may I help you?" Gabriel said across the phone. "Hello uncle Gabriel! Its Marinette, I'm just calling to say that Adrien is fine and he's at my house right now. I had accidentally hit him in the head with a frying pan so he just needs some rest and ice on his head. I'm so sorry that I hit him, thank you for understanding" Marinette answered.

There was a silence at the other end of the phone.. "Thank you Marinette for taking care of Adrien, and I rather have you hit him in the head with a frying pan instead of some robber" Gabriel laughed "Unfortunately I cant come to pick Adrien up so is he fine to stay at your house? I'll take care of your grades and stuff you miss in school" Gabriel said. Marinette gleamed "Thank you so much uncle Gabriel! And I assure you Adriens in good hands!" Marinette said then hung up the phone.

She heard someone groan behind her, specifically Adrien. She turned around swiftly and saw Adrien was sat up and holding his head, she ran to him almost tripping and took his hand off his wound "Don't touch it Adrien, and lay down" she said putting a hand on his chest and pushing him down gently. "Ouch my head hurts..." He said closing his eyes and putting a hand on his forehead. "Yeah its gonna hurry for awhile..sorry again" Marinette said softly. Adrien gasped "No! Its not your fault Marinette! I was being stupid for not giving you a heads up!" Adrien defended Marinette..from herself?

Marinette giggled "Ok, well I'm not going to school today because I've gotta take care of you" she boiled his nose. "But my parents! My- my father! And mom! They're gonna be worried-!" Marinette put her index finger on his lips "Shh Adrien, I already talked to your dad and he said it was ok if I took care of you for the day. Your parents trust me and I know you do too" she smiled, though he couldn't see it. Adrien calmed down and took deep breaths. "Now I'm gonna change out your ice pack for a new one, ok?" Marinette said, Adrien nodded. She lifted the ice pack off his head making him grunt in pain "Sorry" she said putting the ice pack aside and examining Adriens head.
  "is it bad? Adrien asked. "No it's fine, just some dried blood, we'll let it breathe for a minute and then I'll put another icepack on it ok?" Marinette asked and Adrien nodded. "While we wait I'm gonna go tell my parents I won't go to school today and that my grades are fine" Adrien nodded.

  Marinette walked downstairs to her parents room and knocked on the door quietly. "Come in" a small voice was heard from inside Sabine and Toms room. Marinette opened the door and walked in her parents room finding Tom on his phone and Sabine reading a book with a cup of tea in her hand. "Oh hello Marinette, are you ready for school?" Sabine turned her attention towards her daughter. Marinette rubbed her arm shyly "well actually..Adrien is kinda here because I accidentally hit him in the head with a frying pan because I thought he was a burglar and he was on the porch with no light and it was like 3 in the morning" Marinette explained almost too fast. Tom laughed and put his phone down "As long as the boys ok, I'm fine with you staying home, Sabine?" Tom looked at his wife for approval, she nodded and Tom clapped his hands "Good, now go take care of my future son in law Marinette" He laughed as Marinette blushed and ran out of the room.

  Marinette walked downstairs and opened the freezer, she got some ice and put it in a Ziploc bag, zipped it up and wrapped it with wash cloths. She walked upstairs to her room "How you doing Adrien?" She asked quietly, sitting next to him on her bed and putting the ice pack on her lap. "I'm doing fine" Adrien smiled. Marinette smiled too, she loved seeing Adrien smile, she knew he couldn't see his own smile but if he could, he'd know why he was a model. "Ok, I'm going to put the new ice pack on your head ok? It might sting a bit but after it's on it'll feel a little better ok?" Marinette assured him. Adrien nodded "I trust you with my life Marinette, you know this." At that Marinette smiled unconsciously. She put the icepack on his head, Adrien bit back the whines he was going to spit out. She adjusted the icepack where it no longer hurt for him and wrapped t around his head so it would stay in place.
