I

I fall with the patch in the garden;
I grant the thoughts that I often wish pardoned.
I don't want to forsake what's been given,
Or shake the rhythm;
Though everything rightly done,
Cannot correct doings in the wrong.
And so, I love it best,
When the sky is at rest.
Partly kept, In truth,
forbid the fruit,
I do.
