Recap...:
Travis' POV
"FUCKING HELL PARKER, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF YOU'RE TELLING THE TRUTH?"
"Well, does it really matter? You just need to get your life back on track, regardless of what I'm telling you."
Fuck, I hate it when he is right, especially when he is stoned.
"Fuck, okay. I'll come back to work tomorrow. But you need to go home, and take a cab, we don't want you to end up in the gutter."
"Fine, bro, whatever, bro, anything for you, bro, love you, bro." Parker says, while walking out of my doorway. Since there isn't really a door anymore.
I roll my eyes and decide to call a repair service immediately.
Tomorrow.
Then I'll start getting my life back together, I'll forget her and when I'm ready, I'll deal with my pushed away feelings. Or not, we'll see.
3 months later...
Alexa's POV
I've been practicing this new performance and I think I finally got it. The other girls helped me to put it together and they were all so nice. They learned me the basic dance moves I didn't know yet and the more difficult stuff. We went out for dinner very often together and we are basically sisters to each other. We share our secrets and talk about random stuff, it depends on the mood we're in.
"Alex, you ready for the big moment?" Mason asks, his head popping through the curtain of my changing room.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I reply. I've never been nervous before, because I always kind of free styled, but now there is no room for that.
I look in the mirror, I watch my face closely. It's something I've been doing for the last few weeks, I still don't understand what snapped in Travis to react the way he did, but I tell myself every time to ban those thoughts from my mind. Nobody understands, he said, and clearly he doesn't want anyone to understand. So, why should I even begin to try?
"Alex, hon, you really need to come now," Mason says, pushing the curtain completely open.
I take a deep breath, sigh and walk past Mason towards the stage.
"Okay, just remember, you got this!" Mason tells me,
I nod at him and hug some of the girls that came to wish me good luck. I walk onto the dark stage and sit on the chair placed in the middle of the stage. It is the kind of stage you'd expect at a catwalk, with that long part going into the crowd, it ends in a circle with a pole in the middle that goes up to the roof.
The song 'Come get her' starts to play and I start moving my body seductively, following the choreography exactly.
I hear some cheering from the crowd and I suddenly feel a lot more comfortable. I don't pay attention to the crowd in the back and just continue dancing.
The entrance door opens a few times and the crowd becomes even more dense. When I get to the chorus, I throw a sexy smirk with a wink to the crowd.
I almost freeze when I see his face in the crowd, but that can't be true. The first few weeks, I imagined him walking through the door while I was performing a million times, but this is no fantasy of mine, this is real.
I continue dancing, not wanting to stop the show because of him. I was going to show him what he pushed away.
I turn my back to the crowd, just like I was supposed to. Then I hear a few grunts and some shouts, before my arm is yanked, forcing me to spin around.
