Georgiana's POV:
I sighed as i unpacked the last box, by spilling all of it's contents onto my bare bed. Pictures, posters, memories of my old home, and a couple books fell out onto the mattress. I took the books out of the pile and put them on my last bookshelf. Call of the Wild, Hallow Earth, The Fault in our Stars, I liked so many different kinds of books it was crazy. My new room was littered with empty boxes and various items sitting on my bed. The rain hit my window from a side angle. That was the one thing i didn't really like about my new house. The house next door had a room right across from my window and the roofs almost touched. I had to make sure to get dark curtains. The blue walls of my room seemed gloomy compared to the bright red ones back in California. I finished pinning up my Music posters and Pictures of me and my best friend Isabella. I got out some sheets and a cover and made up my bed. Once i finished. I picked up my phone and called Izzy. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Click. Hi this is Izzy Jamen, I'm not available but if you leave me a voicemail, i'll get back to you as soon as i can. Thanks, have a good one! At the tone, please record your message. When you have finished recording, you may hang up, or press 1 for more options. BEEP. " Hey Iz, it's Georgi, I finished unpacking and just wanted to see if you could Skype. Give me a call back when you can, thanks, bye." I hung up dejectedly and got a book to read. No sooner had i opened it up, my mom's voice rang through the house. "Dinnertime, Georgiana!" I put my book down and opened my door a bit. "I'm not hungry, Mom." I yelled back, the smell of Steak and Mashed potatoes wafting into my room. In truth i wasn't. I felt sick and tired and didn't want to have to eat, even if it was my favorite meal. I laid back down on my bed and grumbled when my door opened and i felt the bed dip down with weight. "You? Not hungry for Steak and Mashed Potatoes? Who are you and what have you done with my sister?" My big brother joked. I pushed my face into my pillow, on the verge of tears. "Go away Theo." I said, not wanting him to leave at all. He laid down next to me and said softly "I know Mom and Dad splitting has been difficult for you, but it's going to get better, i promise." I turned around and cried into his shirt. He combed a hand through my hair and kept repeating, "I promise, I promise."
Asher's POV:
I walked into my room and fell on my bed, running a hand through my dirty blonde curly hair. I was about to turn on my bedroom light when i noticed a light on in the window across from mine. I furrowed my brow in confusion, as the last person who lived in there was a cranky old brood who never turned on her light. I looked across and saw a girl about my age with strawberry blonde curls falling down her back and startling blue eyes that looked as though they could see right through me. Basically, she was gorgeous. I smiled a little as i saw her look towards my window before i realized she probably couldn't see me. I ran back to my door and made it look like i was just walking in and turned on my light. No need for her to think i was stalking her or anything. I saw her glance towards my window and i smiled and waved at her. She smiled a bit and waved, before exiting the room. I needed to think. It had stopped raining so i grabbed my jacket, opened my window, walked out onto the roof, and laid my jacket down so i wouldn't get wet. I looked up at the clear skies and couldn't help but smile.
Georgiana's POV:
When i saw the light next door flicker on from the corner of my eye i looked over and prepared for some creepy old pervert to show up. What i didn't prepare myself for was a handsome dirty Blonde haired, hazel eyed beauty to walk in. I looked over and he smiled and waved. a genuine, friendly smile. It had been so long since someone had smiled at me like that. I smiled a bit and waved and decided to head downstairs. Maybe Theo was right, this could get better. My foot hit the last step and Mom and Theo looked up and smiled sadly at me. "Hey is there any steak left that i could snitch?" I asked. Mom pulled out the chair next to her and patted it. I sat down and filled up my plate and dug in.
Asher's POV:
I didn't notice how much time had passed but soon i heard a window open. I figured it was my Dad, telling me to get my butt inside, but instead i heard a soft "Oh, Sorry, i Didn't realise you were up here." I bolted up and saw the girl from earlier on her roof. "Oh no its fine." I said staring at her. I came to my senses, and spoke "Oh, my name's Asher." She smiled, her cheeks coloring in the moonlight. "I'm Georgiana, I just moved here with my brother and Mom." She replied quietly.
"That's a beautiful name." I blurted out.
She blushed again and said "Uh, Thanks."
"So, uh. How old are you?" I asked, trying to make conversation.
"15, you?"
"Just turned 16."
"Oh, so are you a Junior then?"
"Uh, No Sophmore actually. You?"
"Sophmore too."
"Soooo. What do you like to do?"
"Oh. uh. Well. I, um, i love to read. and sing. and write. and i play guitar. I used to take Dance back in California but yeah."
"Oh that's cool, I also love to read. I play drums. I uh. don't really dance that well. I mean unless you consider something that looks like a wild antelope sliding through a resturant on two legs tripping and falling on it's face dancing." She laughed.
"Um, i was leaning more towards ballet and Jazz but that'll work too." She giggled. I chuckled and suddenly heard a phone ringing from her window. "Oh that's my best friend, Izzy, i should probably go." I was kind of disappointed but nodded and said
"Yeah sure, maybe we can meet up here again tomorrow night?" She smiled and replied, "I'll see you then." She opened the window and jumped through into her room and closed the window before answered her phone. I got up, grabbed my jacket and did the same. Before closing the curtains to change, i looked over and waved at her, mouthing good night. It looked like she laughed and mouthed good night back, before closing her curtains. I sat down on my bed and smiled. She felt real. Not like one of those fake girls that are always trying to get with me. And it felt... good.
