Your my Only Hope (Sequel to JSUKM)

Amber Alert

An amber alert was sent out after Lilah went missing. SFNP was on the case and FBI were alerted as well. Asia was comforting Deidra and Jenna was talking to the police. Michael had come home to chaos and his wife in tears. When he had recieved that fateful phonecall that Lilah hadn't come off the bus, he excused himself from work and rushed home ignoring every stop sign and traffic light in sight.

"Excuse me.." he said walking past some policemen. "Deidra!" Deidra stood up and went over to her husband, hugging him tightly crying. How could this happen to them? Lilah knew better then to get into a stranger's car. Unless..someone tricked her into getting into the car. Deidra pulled away and a policeman walked up to them.

"FBI should be here soon to investigate and ask you a couple questions. In the meantime I'm going to ask you what happened." he said. Michael nodded. They all went into the kitchen and sat down.

"I'm officer Kenley head Sherriff of the San Fransico Police Department. What were you both doing before Lilah went to school and before she came home?" he asked. Deidra wiped at her eyes feeling the tears constantly flow.

"Michael went to work early this morning and I helped Lilah get on the bus with the neighbor's kid."

"The neighbor?" he asked. Deidra nodded.

"Her name's Margo Cook. Her neice is Beatrice. They said she moved in to watch her. Something like that." Deidra sniffled. "But I helped Lilah on the bus, I cleaned up the house all day, my normal things I do. Stuff like that. How does this help find Lilah?" she asked looking at the Sheriff.

"It helps us eliminate you as suspects mah'm." Deidra nodded.

"Jenna and Asia then came over and I waited for Lilah's bus and when It showed up, only Beatrice walked off. Lilah didn't show up. I called the school and asked if she had gotten on the bus. She had been at school all day and they said they saw her get into a blue car...a blue cadilacc."

"Did they see the driver mah'm?"

"No. Why would my baby just go into a strangers car!" she said crying into Michael's side.

"That's what we're here to figure out mah'm. Thank you for your time." he said before getting up and leaving the couple alone. Deidra started sobbing and Michael held her tightly.

"We'll find her sweetie." he whispered hugging her tightly. He was just as upset as Deidra was. Whoever took their little girl was gonna pay. FBI soon showed up and Michael and Deidra explained the same story they did to the cop.

"Your daughter may have been tricked into getting into the car with stories such as "your mommy told me to pick you up" or the "I'm a relative of yours" trick." Deidra hitched on a cry.

"But Lilah is smarter than that. She's a smart little girl. She just wouldn't get into the car with someone unless I told her it was okay." Michael rubbed her back. The agent shook her head.

"Mah'm this can happen all the time with children in kidnapping cases. An average kidnapping case if we find the child within 24 hours they're okay. But we have 72 hours tops so we have to get moving quickly." Deidra put her hand to her mouth and tears were fresh at her eyes.

"My baby..."

two days later

Deidra had become a wreck since Lilah went missing. She had eaten less and slept more. Michael was getting more and more concerned. The FBI And police were doing everything they could but there were no clues leading them no where. A knock on the door made Michael answer the door. It was Margo.

"Oh hey Margo." he said a half grim smile.

"How's everything going?" she asked. She had heard about the kidnapping of Lilah. MIchael scratched the back of his neck.

"To be honest not so well. Deidra's asleep and she's not eating very well. She's become a wreck and I can't do anything to fix it." he said frowning. Margo smiled softly.

"I'm sure you'll find her and she'll be alright. Whoever this pyscho is, they'll be in jail sooner than you know it." she said. Michael sighed.

"I hope you're right for everyone's sake." Margo smiled lightly. After talking with Michael for a bit she excused herself to go home. Back home Beatrice was doing her homework. After she set down her keys Beatrice looked up at her and quietly asked,

"Why'd you take that girl? She didn't do anything.." she was solving math problems for her studies. Margo narrowed her eyes and sighed.

"Because I had too Beatrice. Like I took you from your parents." she said edgily making Beatrice swallow deeply and frown, going back to her work. Beatrice knew about what Margo did. She could tell on the neighbors but if she did that....she'd be killed.

"I just want my baby back Michael. It's been a week." Deidra said cuddling up to her husband and rubbing her belly which was now forming a small baby bump. Michael hugged his wife tightly.

"I know honey. I want my little girl back too." he said his voice sounding sad. Ever since the kidnapping he'd been rejecting interviews on talk shows and going to regular work. Everyone at least supported him in finding his little girl. His friends David Spade and Adam Sandler had helped him and Deidra help look for Lilah. The search was depressing but they were determined to find the little girl.

Michael thought about what Margo told him a week ago. They hadn't seen her since her last visit. Something was up. He suspected it and the police had questioned her but they got nothing out of it. He only sighed and clutched his wife in his arms.

Little Lilah Fox clinged onto the cold bars. She didn't know where she was and only wanted her mommy and daddy. She was in a jail cell of some sort with a bunk bed and toilet to help her. She was hungry and scared. She heard a door open and someone walked on in. It was the neighbor, Margo following behind her was Beatrice. She looked petrified.

"Beatrice!" she squeaked. Beatrice froze in her spot but Margo gave her a nasty look and Beatrice only followed behind. Lilah whimpered and went over to her bed, curling up. She heard Margo yelling at Beatrice who whimpered at the yelling but coughed out a 'yes mah'm' and scampered away. Margo came over to Lilah's cell.

"Your mommy and daddy will never find you." she sneered before walking away. Lilah screamed at her,

"What do you want?! Let me go!" she started to bawl her eyes out and hiccupped. All she wanted was to go home.
