Happy Birthday Part Three

A/N: Wow this part of the book is taking so long I might as well just publish it as a whole fanfiction LOl I might actually change it to be a whole fanfiction. who knows? Well it will probably end in this chapter. I think it has gone on for a long time now. I would love to hear you guys' suggestions for the next chapters. I would love to see what kind of things you guys would want to see in this book. Thanks for reading!

Marinettes POV

We were just about done with the decorations we had a few balloons left to fill up since Nino already lost a few to the sky. We filled up the rest of the balloons and looked around at our masterpiece. We had finished with half an hour left with Adrien's photoshoot. They started about half an hour ago and we had to talk quieter so they couldn't hear us. 

"Okay now all that is left is the gifts and the cake" I said turning to them. 

"Perfect, everyone is arriving at around 2:00" Alya said. 

"cool!" I pulled out my phone and texted my dad

Hey papa is the cake ready to be picked up or do you need more time?

I sent the message and put my phone back in my pocket and looked around at the decor. I smiled to myself proud that we had gotten it to look so good. 

 There was a banner that said Happy Birthday Adrien hung between two trees signed by all of our classmates. We had balloons attached to heavy objects so they would stay on the ground and table clothes over the park benches. There were signs written with the names of the refreshments on the tables and a table reserved for presents and a book where me Alya and Nino had already signed our names and written a little message. 

I wrote in the book, Happy Birthday Adrien, I am so glad to have gotten to know you so much better over the past few months and I hope we can continue to grow closer and closer in the future. 

I was originally going to say something about the huge crush I had on him in the book as Alya had suggested, but when arriving in front of the book to put in my statement I just couldn't do it. Besides I thought it would be more personal if I put my confession in a card with my present that way no one else could read it and it would just be between us. 

We have about fifteen minutes until the party starts. I looked at my phone and opened the message I just recieved from my dad. It read, 

I have just finished frosting the cake and I am boxing it up for transportation and it is ready to go you can come over to pick it up along with the rest of the refreshments. 

"The refreshments are ready and the cake" I said turning to the two lovebirds. Nino pulled out his car keys

"Alright dude lets get going!" He said. 

"I'm going to stay here and make sure that everything got done and nothing gets messed up" Alya said, "You two go ahead, see you guys in a minute." She turned away and seemed to be contemplating a set of balloons and streamers then proceeded to put boxes away underneath the tables and clean up around the area. I looked at Nino and he shrugged then we headed off and made our way to his car. 

At Marinette's house

"Hey papa!" I said giving him a hug and a kiss. 

"Hey Marinette! How are the decorations coming?" He asked me grabbing a box from the large refrigerator and setting it on the counter.

"Great!" I exclaimed. "We got everything set up. All we have left to do is set up for the refreshments and music." I said. 

"Sounds like it is going to be quite the party" He said handing me the box of cake. "Where can we put the rest of the refreshments?" He asked

"We can put them in my car outside" Nino said. 

We started heading outside, me with the and papa with a large cardboard box of refreshments. Nino opened the trunk to his car and my dad placed the box inside the trunk and I placed the cake neatly beside it. We put the other boxes of refreshments in the back seat of Nino's car next to thje large speaker and DJ equipment Nino had stored back there. 

"Thanks for the help papa!" I said and kissed him on the cheek and gave him a huge hug. 

"No problem Marinette!" he said, "besides I had loads of fun making and designing the cake!" He said. 

"See you later Dad, Bye mom!" I said and eagerly hopped in the car both my parents smiling warmly and waving from the doorway. 

We got back to the park and started to lay out the refreshments on the large plates we had set out on the tables. We set out the croissants and pink lemonade along with cups and small disposable plates. We had large plates of macaroons and freshly made bread along with chocolate chip cookies and tortilla chips from the store and miscellaneous candies. We had grapes and strawberries and other fruits to add a little bit of variation to all of the sweets.

While me and Alya set up the water and the rest of the food, Nino set up his DJ set and started to test out a few of the songs. 

We finished up and I checked the time on my phone. Nino played a few songs while we looked at our set up. "They should all be arriving soon", Alya said. 

"Hello! I'm here!" I groaned knowing who it was before we even turned around to see Chloe the snob walking up to us.
