"Here's what we know.
On Saturday, August 19th, Tom Fredith was killed. He was a well known lawyer for a popular law firm in downtown Redbrook. His wife and 2 kids claim that they were not in the house at the time, on a shopping trip at the Redbrook mall. They were gone from 11 a.m. through 2:47 p.m, causing us to believe that Tom was killed during this time. The results from the autopsy haven't come in yet, and our only evidence of murder is no sign of suicide, and reports of screams for help at around 2:42 to 2:45, then silence, and the rest of his family discovering his body on the dining room floor just a few minutes later. His wife worked as an accountant at a local hospital for 5 years before staying at home to take care of their two sons. The older one is Jayden, 16 years old, and the younger one is named Adam and is only 12 years old.
It's not known if Mary Fredith and the kids were lucky to survive, or if the attack was aimed at Tom. We do not believe that they have given anyone a reason to want to kill them, as Jayden and Adam do fine in school and behave well, and Mary did was not in contact with many people during her time at the hospital, leaving us to mainly explore the possibility of Tom being targeted. During his time as a criminal lawyer, he has faced hundreds of criminals in court, making him somewhat of an enemy to them. A likely possibility is that at least one of them was involved with the murder, seeing as Tom was good at his job and almost every suspect was sent to jail because of him.
So far we have no signs of any DNA or evidence to point towards a killer. He's been dead for 4 days now, the autopsy coming in soon, and we plan on catching the criminal as soon as possible. We haven't done a full search of the house yet, but we're getting our top investigators on it this Sunday, the 27th.
Remember, please tell us if you have any information, even just a small detail can help us solve this case. If you're scared to tell us, remember that we're the police. We can protect you, and you can give us a tip anonymously.
We know that you were very close to Tom, and are sorry you have to go through this. You most likely knew all the details about Tom anyway, seeing as you're his neighbor.
Good luck, Ivy Harper, and stay safe."
