I got back in my moms car as we started to drive home.

We sat in silence with Havana playing on the radio. 

My phone rang but I ignored it because my mom started to speak.

"Is something bothering you Mija? Your usually so talkative"

"No..."

Her phone started ringing and she picked it up putting it to her ear.

"SUSPENDED!"

I raised an eyebrow at my mom.

"When will you be back?"

"Okay, so he can stay at our house for a week."

"Yes, okay, let me drop Blake off then I'll go pick him up."

"Bye Amiga love you"

"No I swear it's no problem. He's here a lot anyways."

"Okay, bye"

They hung up and I faced her. "Suie got suspended?"

"Yes" She sighed.

"For what?"

"I don't know. But he's staying with us for a week. And when I go pick him up I'm setting some ground rules when I get back Mija so be ready"

I nodded slowly at her and got out the car. She drove away and I ran inside closing the door behind me.

This is gonna be the worst school week ever.

I woke up to someone tugging on my arm. I opened my eyes slowly to see Suie on his knees in front of me.

"Hmm?"

"Your mom told me to come get you" He whispered avoiding eye contact with me.

"Okay..." I nodded sitting up. He immediately stood up and walked out my room leaving me alone again.

I sighed getting up and walking downstairs.

My mom was in the kitchen cooking and Suie was standing in front of the dishwasher.

I stood on the other side of the island looking at the ground as she started to speak.

"Okay so, since your mom went to Mexico for the week your staying here. You are grounded. So therefore, you are in trouble. You can not leave the house. At all considering you got suspended. And you will not help him get in more trouble. He sleeps in the guest room, you sleep in your room. You two can hang out by at Ten pm it is lights out. Now, I'm leaving for work in ten minutes both of you can go upstairs now."

I nodded and walked upstairs, Suie following behind me.

As soon as we got to the top of the steps I tried to give him a hug but he immediately shoved me away.

"I'm going to my room, Later" With that he rolled his eyes and left me standing in the hall alone with a slightly bruised arm.

Some how that felt worse than knowing Luka was back. Because I had no one to protect me.
