The Six Sigils

Long ago, before there was life on Earth, everything was ruled by The All. One day, The All decided to create life, so that this desolate planet could be put to use.

On the first day, The All made it rain, and from that rain, The All proceeded to create the Naiads. Magical beings who dwelled in the water, and could sing a siren song like no other being. They would possess the power to conjure the elements. This power would later be known as Atunement. This was The First Sigil.

On the second day, The All took a single ray of sunshine, and created the Fae. Winged creatures capable of incredible magical feats. These beings would possess the power to bring the dead back to life. This power would later be known as Resurgence. This was The Second Sigil.

On the third day, The All let a star fall from the sky, and crash to the ground. From that star rose the Werewolves. Beings of the moon. They would possess the power to move objects with their minds. This power would later be known as Telekinesis. This was The Third Sigil.

On the fourth day, The All cupped a hand of darkness, and let it take shape in his hands. He shaped the darkness into a race known as the Banshees. Beings who communicated with the spirit realm, foretold death and had a scream capable of killing. These beings would possess the power to freeze time, as if to slow death so they can prevent it. This power would later be known as Tempus. This was The Fourth Sigil.

On the fifth day, The All decided to create beings made from his own blood. These beings would have to feed on blood to remaind young and beautiful, and as long as their hunger is satisfied, they can walk in the sunlight.  These beings were the Vampires. They would come to possess the power to read the minds of others. This would later be known as Telepathy. That was the Fifth Sigil.

On the sixth day, The All formed creatures from clay, and breathed life into them. He decided he would bestow unto them access to all his knowledge about ancient magic. These beings would later be known as Witches and could cast spells, brew potions, and posessed the power to see into the future. This would later be known as Premonition. This was the Sixth Sigil.

The All had created his inhabitants. It was happy with it's work. So on the seventh day, The All decided to rest.

And while The All was off resting, and not being able to protect his creations, The Nothing appeared, and poured out the blackness it had stored away in it's heart. This blackness gave birth to The Streija, immortal beings who posessed no power of their own, but were followed  intense pain and great misery.

When The All returned, it saw what The Nothing had done, and it crafted a prophecy stating that one day, a child shall be born into one of the six races, possessing each of The Six Sigils, and woul defeat the Streija. And with his last bit of strength, The All imprisoned The Streija deep within the Earth, were they still lay and wait for they day they get to spread their pain and misery.

As the years passed, some members of the races started noticing that they did not possess a Sigil. Vampires could no longer read the minds of others,  but could still run at the speed of light and had to drink blood for sustenance. The Werewolves no longer posessed telekinesis, but could still shift in between human and wolf form, and still had their heightened senses. The Banshees retained their scream and connection to the spirit realm, but could no longer freeze time. The Naiads still had dominion over water and posesses the siren song, but could no longer conjure the elements. The Fae could no longer bring the dead back to life, but could still soar high into the air, and cast various spells to aid them. The Witches could no longer see into the future, but still retained the ability to cast spells, brew potions and scry.

That is until, on cloudless night, when the moon was high, six children, one of each race, were brought into the world. And that, is were our story really begins.
