Deceived Heart

Amelia's POV :

I get into the car with Jasper and Zoe in the backseat and I smile at the little munchkins . Zion takes my hand before driving out and I smile turning on the radio a little bit . I don't know why but I kind of felt at peace with the world given the circumstances . It's kind of like I was accepting the fact that I'm dying but I still didn't want to leave . I didn't want to leave my family behind , my friends , my puppies , my life or Zion behind . There was just too much to leave .

Zion drives for about thirty minutes more before he stops the car .

"We're going to have to walk for a bit ." He tells me and I nod my head .

He gets the puppies out of the car and they instantly run forward . Zion and I walk together towards the forest path walk and we continue walking straight for about five minutes till I see a huge cliff . It was kind of like the one Tyler showed me but this one just had a better view , I don't know what it was but probably because I was here with my family .

Zion and I sit by the bench and I breathe in the air from here . It was pure and clean unlike the one from down there .

"This is where I used to come to practice my lines , or when I was just in a mood and I didn't want to be at home I would come here ." He tells me and I put my head on his shoulder .

"How did you even find it ?" I ask him .

"My friends and I used to smoke pot , so we figured that we might as well just smoke it where no one will know any of our parents ." He chuckles and I smile .

"What more don't I know about your childhood ?" I smile looking out into the city .

"Well you see this faint scar I've got ?" He points to his face and I nod my head .

"I got it while trying to climb over a barbed fence ." He laughs .

"What the hell were you doing Zion ?" I laugh .

"Well our neighbor back from where my grandparents used to live had this vicious dog . He hated that he would always find tennis balls in his yard so we were told to stop playing in the backyard and just go to the park but there was something about this thing of having to play in the backyard so we threw the ball and it fell to his yard . We knew that we were in crap because my granny told us to stop playing there so we had no choice but to jump and get the ball . One of my friends were on the lookout while I had to get the ball but something happened ." He laughs and I enjoy him talking about his past .

"So I jumped the wall easily and as I was on my way back, Deven told me that the dog was coming and it was ready to eat so I quickly ran and I jumped over but i didn't get through as easily as I thought I would . I slipped and scratched myself . It hurt like hell if I'm being honest and I was called Scarface for like years till it started fading ." He says and I smile touching it .

"Scarface ." I laugh kissing it and he smiles .

"You had an amazing childhood from what I'm seeing . A young rebel huh Zion ?" I smirk .

"I was also a ladies man ." He smirks .

"Is that so ? Anyways that scar makes you look ugly so I don't know what they saw in you ." I joke and he puts his hand over his heart .
