According to the latest gossip, there was a new program for the reserve course kids. Apparently, they would be given a chance to get their own talent if they manage to do it all on their own within a certain limit. You didn't know the specifics, but you did hear that many Reserve Course students jumped at the chance, except for one.
His name was Sugihara Rokudou. You were well acquainted with him already as you lived right across from him and his family, and saw each other on the way to the academy every morning, even seeing each other when you left to go home as well.
He seemed okay, but he was overprotective of his twin sister, Lana Rokudou. He picked fights with anyone who dared to harm her or even breathe near her, mainly if they were male.
He would always end up in a tie with whoever he fought because he was pretty average at fighting. He must do it often, which made your stomach churn just thinking about it.
He was strange, but you respected him no less.
Today was pretty normal, school went on as usual and you had a nice day. When the day ended, you headed out like everyone else, half expecting to see Sugihara and his sister, but you couldn't see Sugihara at all. It was just Lana.
She approached you.
"Excuse me... have you seen my brother?" She asked you. You shook your head.
"No, I haven't seen him. I thought he'd be with you?" You answered.
"No, he must be late, perhaps. I'll go into the Reserve Course building and I'll see if he's there. Could you maybe stay out here and keep an eye out for him, please?"
You nodded. Lana gave a little smile and headed off towards the Reserve Course building.
You just stayed behind and watched as all the students left the academy for their homes or their dorms. You just stood their a little dauntless.
You could hear people talking in the background and you decided to follow the sound of where the voices were coming from. You were lead to the back of the Reserve course and saw a few guys crowding over something. They were all yelling "fight" in unison, which wasn't a good sign.
You watched from the sidelines and tried not to get caught, as you were afraid of what these guys may do to you.
Soon they all got bored and the fight ended. As they all cleared out, you found who it was that was in the fight. It was Sugihara.
He sat there on the ground, his nose bleeding and his whole attire completely roughed up. He adjusted his mask weakly and looked up at you.
