Part two! Enjoy! (Unedited)

Toothless landed on Gothi's hut, which overlooked the island of Berk. Hiccup hurriedly dropped from his dragon's back, supporting your limp body. "Gothi!" He calls out.

She walks out, a few Terrible Terrors clutching her shawl. She looks at you and Hiccup questionably, then walks closer, tugging on Hiccup's arm to get him to drop to her level.

Hiccup falls on his knees, holding you in front of him. "I-I didn't mean for her to get hurt," he whispers as Gothi as she presses a hand to your wrist, then to your forehead. "We were swimming and she hit her head."

She gives Hiccup a small smile and gestures for him to follow. He lifts himself from the ground and walks behind Gothi. She gestures for him to lay you on the small bed. Hiccup lays you down, touching your cheek quickly before turning back to Gothi, who is writing something on a piece of light brown paper. She ties the piece of paper to one of her dragon's legs, who obediently flies out. A letter to Stoick and Gobber, ordering them to come to her hut at once. Gothi walks back to your side, pressing her small hand to your wrist again, and then your head. She looks down with a concentrated look.

Minutes later, Stoick and Gobber run into the hut. "Hiccup," Stoick says, surprised. "What happened?"

"W-we were swimming, Dad. She hit her head and-"

"Will she be okay?" Stoick interrupts, rushing to your side. Gobber translates Gothi's answer.

"She shouldn't be asleep for much longer. But there's no telling what will happen after she does wake up," he says.

Hiccup turns to you and kneels down, grabbing your limp hand in both of his. "I promise," he says, pressing his lips to the top of your hands. "You'll be okay."

That night, Hiccup brings you to his home. You lay on his bed, his blanket pulled up to your chest and the candle light illuminating your pale face. Hiccup sits in a chair by your side, holding your hand, always stroking your cheek, arm, hair. Stoick comes in and tells Hiccup he should get some sleep.

"Dad," Hiccup says, ignoring his father's order. "Gothi said she wouldn't be asleep this long."

"Hiccup, son," he says. He places a heavy hand on Hiccup's shoulder, squeezing it. Hiccup winces. "Her body is exhausted. She worked her lungs too hard after she hit her head. Give her time."

Hiccup sighs. "Dad, is everything going to be okay?"

"Time will tell, son," he says. "It's almost midnight. Go to sleep."

"Okay," Hiccup says as Stoick walks out. "How does he expect me to sleep?" He mutters to you, laying his head down on the rough mattress. "Please wake up soon," he whispers. "And be okay."

An hour later, as Hiccup's eyes are just beginning to close, yours open. Slowly. Hiccup doesn't even notice at first, his half opened eyes on your fingers. You blink, looking around. You feel a stroke of warmth on your wrist. Fingertips, tracing a vein. You slowly move your hand back. The hand freezes and you slowly sit up.

"You're awake!" A voice shouts. Hiccup towers over you, hand on your cheek. You flinch away. You don't remember him. "___? Are you okay?"

___? Was that you? Apparently. Who was this boy? You didn't remember him, and where were you? "Who are you?" You ask.

Hiccup's face falls. "What?" He asks. You didn't remember him? After all those years of being together? "You don't...?" He shakes his head.

"Uh, no," you say.

"I'm Hiccup," he says. "We're together. You're my best friend," he takes your hand and you shake your head in confusion. "I-I love you."

"Hiccup," you whisper softly, testing the name on your lips. "Hiccup." The name rolls off your tongue smoothly. And he loves you? Him? You reach out and softly touch his jaw, your fingertips grazing his chin scar before you lay your palm down on his cheek. He smiles at you, blinking back tears. He's kinda gorgeous.

"Do you remember?" He asks.

"I'm trying to," you say, tears filling your eyes. "I swear I'm trying to."

"It's okay, it's okay!" Hiccup says, taking your hands and leaning close to you. "I can help you. I won't let you do this alone."

"Promise?" You ask, tears falling.

"I promise," he says, kissing your head. "I'll be here, always."
