Chapter 8

Ariel's P.O.V

I was happy we were escaping. We started to head towards the woods that were near the cabin.

"Were you going to kill the guy," I asked breaking the silence between us. She nodded yes, I wonder if she was going to leave me. I didn't dare to ask that. I treaded along.

Joseph's P.O.V

I saw head lights, yes finally I ran across the road hoping they would see me. I was exhausted, they slammed their brakes. A older looking guy stepped out, he smiled. That's when I realized it was our kidnappers, I was to tired, I tried to run but collapsed. They picked me up and dragged me to the car. Right back to the begin. I didn't move just laid in the car, it was a while before we got there I shut my eyes.

Charolett's P.O.V

I felt like dropping, but we had to keep going.

"Charolett, can we rest I feel like just sleep," Ariel moaned. I turned and looked her in the eye,

"I'm tired to I just want to drop, but we need to get farther if we want to sleep," I said.
She straightened and we walked in silence. We filled up five bottles of water before we left. I took a sip and passed it to Ariel. I put it back into my bag.

"Are you ready to rest?" I ask

"Yeah, up there, that tree it looks big enough,plus there's rope in the bag." said Ariel. I nodded, didn't know we had a rope. We climbed up the tree and got comfortable. I took one end of the rope and Ariel took the other end. We were tied down.

Joseph's P.O.V

I woke up we were still driving, wow, there was a stop sign ahead. I decided to jump when they stop and run. If I was going to die I was going to die with a fight. They stopped I opened the door and ran.

"Lets split up," G.N said to the other guy. He nodded, G.N traced back to my tree. I was in a walnut tree, I pulled one off of the cluster. I took a deep breath, and threw it with all my might. G.N looked both ways, he started to walk the way I threw the nut. I climbed further up the tree,to the top again I saw flash lights threw the tree tops.

Charolett's P.O.V

I didn't fall asleep I was on alert. Who knew if he followed us or not. It was a while but I saw something, a flashlight I dared to breath.

"Ok, I will this way you that way." said someone. Crap, I shook Ariel to awareness.

"Shh don't do anything we aren't alone they're looking for us," I whispered. Her eyes widened, I knew her well see wasn't good in these situations. She was breathing heavily, I put my hand on her shoulder for reassurance.

"He's not here, at least we have the girls," R.D commented. I was confused did he not know we escaped, who was he looking for. That's when it hit me, they are looking for Joseph. They started to walk away, thank the lord.

R.D's P.O.V

"What how in the living world did they get away!" I yelled furiously.

How stupid could he be, they were tied up.

"You know what Fred is going to do right," I said with a warning voice. He trembled,Fred is cruel, mean and ruthless. He was boss, the one who punished and rewarded. I was the one who always agreed with him. My life outside my family is cruel and unforgiving. The girls and that boy will pay.

Joseph's P.O.V

I heard them leave, but the girls were still there. I was down from the tree and walking when I heard a voice
say," Joseph up here," that's when I saw Ariel an Charolett. I was happy, I climbed the tree.

"How in the world did you two escape?" I asked wondering. Ariel pointed to Charolett who was smirking. She then explained how she cut the rope and snuck into Ariel's room. I will admit if we were stuck in a death or life situation, she would be the one to get us out. We sat there in silence. I almost fell asleep during the thinking session. We all decided to sleep.
