the beginning

Being the daughter to king Adam and queen Belle means having a lot of weight on your shoulders but not as much weight as my twin brother Ben. I’m really not like most of the princesses. While they wear light or pastel colors I wear mostly dark colors. When I started to wear dark colors my parents were surprisingly ok with it. Yes I still wear yellow on special occasions but other than that I really don’t wear that color. I was currently in Ben’s room because we were getting fitted for our clothes for his upcoming coronation. They just took my measurements for my dress. I was sitting on Ben’s bed as he was getting he’s clothes worked on. I noticed he kept looking out towards the isle. “Whatca thinking about big bro?” I asked. He didn’t answer me and kept looking at the isle. “Benny?” I said trying to get his attention. Then mom and dad walked in. “How is it possible that you’re going to be crowned king next month? You’re just a baby.” Dad said as he and mom walked over to me. “He’s turning 16 dear.” Mom said. “Hey pops.” Ben said. “Sixteen? That’s far too young to be crowned king. I didn’t make a good decision until I was at least 42.” Dad said. “Uh. You decided to marry me at 28.” Mom said. “It was either you or a teapot.” Dad said. Which caused Ben and I to laugh. “Kidding.” Dad said. “Mom and Dad.” Ben said trying to step down but ending up getting told not to. “I’ve chosen my first official proclamation. I’ve decided that children on the isle of the lost be given a chance to live here in auradon.” Ben said. I gasped at the news. Not that I was disgusted with the thought of villain kids living here but shocked that Ben actually remember when we talked about this that I said it. Mom and dad were both extremely shocked. “Every time I look out at the island I feel like they’ve been abandoned.” Ben said walk off the little platform and walking over towards us. “The children of our sworn enemies? Living among us?” Dad asked. “We start out with a few first only ones who need our help the most. Y/N and I already chosen them.” Ben said. Great now he’s dragged me into this. “Have you?” Dad asked. “I gave you a second chance. Who are their parents?”Mom said putting a hand on dad’s shoulder. “Cruella de Vil, Jafar, evil queen, and maleficent.” Ben said which caused all hell to break lose. “Maleficent! She is the worst villain in the land!” Dad yelled. “Dad just hear me out here.” Ben said. “I won’t hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes.” Dad said. “Dad their children are innocent. Don’t you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?” Ben said. “Please daddy?” I asked. Dad sighed. “I suppose the children are innocent.” Dad said and turn to start walking out of ben’s room. “Well...Well done.” Mom said before following Dad. I waited till they were out of his room. “Well that could have gone better. Thanks for bringing me in on this.” I said and threw a pillow at Ben. Ben threw the pillow back at me which caused a pillow fight to break out. It was the next day when the kids were supposed to come. I was in my room with audrey who was complaining about Ben letting villain kids come to Auradon. "Come on y/n how can you be ok with this?" Audrey asked. "Well Audrey I kinda gave Ben the idea." I said. "You what!" Audrey yelled. "I think they should have a chance. It's not like they asked for their parents to be villains." I said. "They could be exactly like their parents you don't know that." Audrey said. "Or they could not be like their parents at all." I said as I put on my dress which was black with a peach colored skirt with black lace over the top and falls to the ground. "I don't get why you wear all those dark colors." Audrey said going to stand in front of my mirror fixing her makeup. "I like them. My parents and Ben are supportive of me wearing these colors." I said grabbing a pair of boots that went a little past my knees. "Ok now those are cute." Audrey said. I rolled my eyes at her. Why did Ben have to date her. Well not really. She just kinda said they were going out. I heard a knock out my door. I went to go open and saw Ben on the other side. "Don't you look pretty." Ben said. "Why think up bennyboo." Audrey said pushing pass me grabbing Ben's arm and pulled him away. "Gee thanks big bro." I said quietly then walked out of my room and closed my door following Ben and Audrey to the front of the school were fairy godmother was waiting.
