pt.1

Zoe's POV

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. Today is going to be a good day. Today my friend Zach is supposed to come back today for a visit.

I get it up put of my bed and go into my closet and pick out some clothes. I go into my bathroom to get dressed and ready for the day.

I walk out of my room and downstairs. I see that my mom is cooking dinner.

"Hey mom, why are you cooking dinner?"

"Well, since Zach is visiting, I thought we could have him over! I already asked Myta and she says that its fine. He will be staying over here while he is visiting."

"Wait really?"

"Really. Myta said that you and Zach should hangout more, oh by the way, he'll be staying in your room. So go clean it up"

I squealed with delight. Ever since Zach left a year ago, we haven't been talking much at all. We rarely ever text.

I rush back up the stairs and clean.
I finally finished and now my room is super clean.

*ring*

That's the doorbell! Zach is finally here! I run downstairs and I open the door and I see Zach.

"ZACH!" I run into him, and hug him, almost knocking him over. He regains his balance and hugs back. "Zach I missed you" i say with a smile. "I could tell" he said with a slight chuckle.

"Zach, Zoe, Dinner is almost ready!"

"Okay!" We both said in sync. Zach grabs his bags and heads upstairs into my room, with me trailing behind.

"So how's Los Angeles?"

"Oh Zoe it's wonderful! I'm in a band now and-"

"Wait. You're in a band?"

"Yeah. Why Don't We"

"My friend is dragging me to a concert and it's for your band"

"Really? That's cool. That means I get to see you on tour!"

"Yeah. I'm going to the one in LA"

"Why LA?"

"Oh I didn't tell you i-"

My mom interrupts me.

"Dinner is ready!!!"

I whisper, "I'll tell you at dinner"
"Okay" then the both of us rush down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Tonight's dinner is Macaroni and cheese"

"Thanks mom"

"Thanks"

"No problem"

We all sit down at the dinner table and start to eat dinner.

"So Zoe, did you tell Zach that you're moving to LA?"

Zach looks at me confused.

"No.. not yet"

"Why don't you tell him right now then?"

"Well, I want to be a youtuber, so my mom is letting me move out to LA with my friend Abigail"

"That's so cool, what day are you leaving?"

"In 2 weeks. On Friday" I said and then I put a spoonful of Macaroni and cheese in my mouth. I swallowed.

"That's when I'm leaving too! What flight?"

"Umm let me check"

I grab my phone out of my back pocket and pull up my plane ticket.

"Uhhh the one that is leaving at 7:35am"

"We're on the same flight then"

"Cool!" said my mom, "maybe you'll be sitting by one another"

"Maybe" I say as I finish my mac and cheese.

Dinner was way over and its night. Its 10pm and I'm already tired. I grab pjs out if my closet and change.

When I was done changing, I walk out and I see Zach on my bed.

"Hey, Zach"

"Hey, Zo."

I sit down on the bed next to him.

"Want to watch a movie?"

"Sure. Can I pick Zoe?"

"Yeah, which one do you want to watch?"

" *insert favorite movie* "

"I love that movie!! Let's watch it"

I crawl under the covers and zach does the same. We used to sleep in the same bed as a kid, so we're used to it.

Zach turns on the movie and we watch. All the sudden I look up and Zach. He is watching the movie. All the sudden he smiles and it makes my heart jump.

Why am I feeling this way?

Then Zach looks down at me and smiles, then he looks back up at the TV.

When he smiled my heart jumped again. Why is this happening to me?

All of the sudden I yawned. I started to get tired. I snuggled up against him and closed my eyes.

Then I heard the TV shut off. But I kept my eyes closed.

"Zoe, I know you're sleeping, but I want you to know that I love you, more than a friend" then Zach kisses me on the forehead and I smile, snuggling up closer to him.

I open my eyes and I see Zach, with his eyes closed. I smile. He looks so peaceful.

All of the sudden my eyes start to get heavy. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
