"when are you going on tour?" Zoe asked a tired Zach as she played with his hair.
(If any of you are confused, we are switching between Abigails and Zoes POV every chapter.)
(Also, this part in the book this is happening before. Abigail is asleep in her room, and she doesn't know about anything that is going on right now. )
"In two weeks.." he managed to reply.
"Can I come?" Zoe asked.
"I'll asked the boys and Tyler to see if that's alright" Zach said. Then Zoe stopped playing with his hair.
They both sat there in silence trying to sleep.
"Zo."
"Yes?"
"Play with my hair again, it helps me go to sleep." he said.
"Okay." she whispered.
As Zoe was about to fall asleep, she heard zach say, "i love you."
She sighed.
Zach looked up at her. "do you love me...?"
She stopped playing with his hair and sat up. "It's hard for me to let people in.." she said. "I've stopped opening up to people when you left without saying goodbye.. it hurt."
"what is that supposed to mean?" Zach sat up next to her.
"It's hard for me to let people in, Zach. especially you.."
Zach opened his mouth to say something, but Zoe cut him off.
"You left me.. you hurt me.."
Zach sat there, biting his lip. "Zo. i'm sorry.. I should've texted. I should've called. it's my fault... I'm sorry."
Zoe shook her head and laid back down.
Zach laid down next to her and stared at the ceiling. He looked at Zoe and then moved over a little bit. He kissed her cheek gently, then got out of bed and exited the room.
Zoe looked over her shoulder at her friend leaving the room.
zachary dean herron what are you doing to me?

An hour later, Zoe was still up and Zach still wasn't in the room.
She got up and went to the living room to look for him.
He wasn't there.
She looked around the whole house and he wasn't anywhere.

Zoe opened the door as Zach walked up to it.
Before she could do anything, Zach hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry."
"Its okay. Let's get back into our room before Abigail comes back."
"Wait, where did she go?"
"I don't know, I only know because her purse and shoes are gone. She usually leaves her shoes by the door."
"Oh ok. Zoe, we should get back to bed"
I nodded as Zach and I walked back into the bedroom.
"Are we going to see the boys tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah, we are going over to their apartment complex, which is where I live" he says. "If you want you can stay with me" "Really?" I say with excitement. "Yes really" Zach says with a laugh, "there is 4 rooms in my apartment. And I share it with Jack if that's alright with you." "That's fine with me" I say with a smile.
All of the sudden I yawn. I move closer to Zach. He wraps his arm around my waist and I smile up at him.
Suddenly, there wasn't a spark between us before, but suddenly there was. I realized I'm in love with my best friend, Zachary Dean Herron.
