"I have bad news"
The doctor said while looking down

I recently turned thirteen but I haven't been feeling too well ever since, I thought it was puberty at first but after five months my mom thought it was best to take me to the hospital.
So now here I am after my check up

"What's the bad news?"

My mother asked in a worried tone

The doctor pulled my mom out of the room but I could still hear them 

"Well the bad news is she has lymphoma cancer and she has 5 years left I'm sorry..."

The doctor patted my mom's back as her eyes started getting watery and she started breathing harder, I couldn't hear the next part

I heard the creak of the door and saw only my mother come in

"Mama what's wrong?

I asked in a worried tone as my mother just stared at me as her eyes got more watery till I saw her first tear fall..and another, then she broke into tears

I started getting confused
First, what's Lymphoma cancer and I have 5 years left?
For what? To live?
No that's probably not it.
And second, why is my mom crying about it?

Question ran through my mind
I finally hugged my mom and she hugged me back tight

"Mom to tight! To tight!"

I said as she squeezed me even harder not caring

The doctor came back and gave me a patients dress

"Put it on sweetie"

I stared at him like he was crazy I mean I'm not a patient here so why would I wear it?

"Put it on Ji-yeon!"

My mother said loudly as she cried more

I listened and put it on then took the rest of my clothes off under the dress and left my undergarments on

I gave my mom my clothes and she stopped crying but continued to whimper

"Lay down sweetie"

I laid down and got comfortable as my mother approached me

"I love you and I will come everytime during visiting hours alright"
