Amelia Wesley sat in the driver's side seat of her car, the seventh-month-old baby girl in the back seat giggling away as Finn tickled her toes to keep the both of them distracted.

"Sometimes I think she likes you more than me" His mother said as he sat back properly in his seat, facing the road again.

"Grandpa was her favourite person, she knows he's gone now" Finn said, making his mother sigh in defeat as she nodded her head. Finn was right, even baby Sophie knew he was gone. She went from sleeping through the night to crying for hours, she didn't eat much, she was fussy again.

"Please don't be upset with me Finn, I just didn't know what else to do" Amelia pleaded, but Finn was too upset to let his mother off the hook.

"So shoving me in a church basement like a depressed teen version of an AA meeting is really the best option" Finn's sarcasm was a harsh as a knife as the air in the car became bitter.

"It's not AA Finn, Jackie's mom said it really helped after her father died overseas"Amelia held her breath, waiting for another comment to escape from Finn's chapped lips, but instead the boy stayed quiet, shoving one of his headphones in the left side of his ear.

"After I drop you off, I have to go to the lawyers, then I'll be back in time to pick you up" The last two weeks had been absolute hell in the Wesley household. After spending the first week watching Amelia and her older brother fight over the will, then they were hit with a large hospital bill they weren't expecting because his insurance had lapsed. The Wesley mom wasn't sure how Finn was still standing. At 16, he'd been hit with more responsibility than anyone at his age had to deal with. He wasn't sleeping or eating, and the amount of coffee he'd consumed in the last month was edging on the border of worrisome.

"I'm not mad at you mom" Finn whispered, making her look at him with a sad smile on her face.

"I'm mad at the world. I'm mad that people are laughing and smiling and having a good time. I'm mad that no one is missing him the way we are. I'm mad that the whole world isn't morning the loss of him. And logically, I know how stupid that sounds, because the whole world didn't know him, the whole world didn't love him the way we did. But when he died our world stopped, and nothing makes me angrier than watching everyone else's world continue" By the time he was done, his eyes had glossed over like a window that had just been cleaned.

"I'm mad too baby" His mom felt the same thing. Amelia was mad she got her dad taken away from her. Amelia was mad that on the hardest time of her life, her brother decided it was appropriate to fight something they both knew he couldn't win. She was mad that she was now an orphan. She was mad the world seemed so unfair. But her children made her strong. Finn and Sophie were the reasons she got out of bed in the morning. Amelia thought that maybe that's why Finn was having a harder time staying together; because he didn't have anyone to be strong for; which is why she decided the group might be a good idea.
