Chapter 32
I woke up in Liam’s arms.
Feeling in bliss, I turned to face him, pecking his gorgeous lips. I felt him smile into the kiss, before deepening it. Eventually, I pulled away, out of breath and flustered. Looking up at Liam, I found him grinning cockily down at me. He would be the end of me, I swear.
Well, if he was going to be a cocky, I would be too.
Smiling sweetly, I leaned in. Liam, expecting a kiss, closed his eyes and pouted slightly, awaiting my lips. They didn’t come. Grinning evilly, I pushed away, before getting up from the bed. I turned away, but not before I saw Liam’s eyes flicker open in confusion. I giggled, and then headed to the bathroom to change, grabbing clothes along the way.
As I changed, I let my mind wander to Liam…
Liam who was mine. Not Beatrice’s, nor anyone else’s. Mine.
I sighed in happiness, just as there was a knock at the door. “Kate,” came the faint voice of my boyfriend.
It just wouldn’t sink in. Liam James Payne was my boyfriend. And even though he had been my boyfriend before, now it felt more special.
“Yeah?” I replied, loving the sound of his voice saying my name.
“You finished?” he asked, but before I could reply, he opened the door anyway.
Seeing disappointment on his face as his eyes surveyed my fully clad body, I smirked. “Liam!” I scolded playfully. “I could have been… urgh, I don’t know… naked?!”
Liam grumbled something that sounded suspiciously like ‘wish you were’, before a grin crossed his face. Then he came towards me and enveloped me in a bear hug.
“What was that for?” I asked, once he let me go.
He pouted playfully. “Aren’t I aloud to hug my girlfriend?”
My stomach fluttered. My girlfriend.
“’Course,” I mumbled, for turning towards the mirror to continue with my make-up. “I’m almost finished.”
Instead of an ‘okay’ that I was expecting, Liam grabbed my arm carefully, pulling my hand away from my face. I complied, before turning to him with a questioning look on my face.
“You are beautiful without make up, Kate,” Liam said, holding my hand firmly, before taking my mascara out of my hand.
I opened my mouth to protest, but he spoke first, cutting me off. “Come.”
“Where are we going?” I asked curiously, as Liam pulled me out of my dorm.
“On a date,” he replied, not realizing how much those three words affected me. I felt a grin take over my face.
We walked towards a nearby park, hand in hand. Soon it came into view, and I caught sight of a ice cream van, causing my mouth to water on instinct.
“Want an ice cream?” Liam asked, grinning at my expression.
“Yes please!” I said happily, smiling up at my gorgeous boyfriend.

We ended up stumbling back to my room, laughing for no apparent reason. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
When we finally reached the corridor, I spotted a hunched figure outside my room. Or my and Beatrice’s room-
The person looked up, and I finally recognised her.
Beatrice?
