Water. Water is all around me. Water, and a piece of land way in the distance. If you look closely, it looks like theres a bit of smoke flowing from the piece of land.
I dont remember how I got here, in the middle of the ocean, all alone. I'm floating on one of those little life boats. I dont remember anything besides just waking up on this boat. What I do remember is that my name is Lily and I'm 14 years old. Thats it. I dont know if I have any family of where I live.
I must have been out here for a while considering I'm probably about to drop dead rom thirst and hunger. Theres no food on this boat. Sure, theres water all around me but I cant drink it. Its salt water, if I drink it, I'll most likely just get thirstier.
I'm floating closer to the island. Ive gotten close enough to see that there is a huge house sitting in the trees. I can see that it has bridges going to all these different huts in the trees. The smoke is coming from there.
Gosh, I need water. My vision gets blurry. I look down to look at my stomach to see how skinny I got in these past few days. Covering my stomach is an orange dress. It goes to my knees. It looks pretty expensive if you ask me. As I'm looking down, something falls out of my long, blonde hair and onto the floor of the boat. I pick it up and its none other than an orange lily. I smile a weak smile and put it back into my hair.
I look back up at the land and see that I'm about a half mile away. I also see something sitting on the land. It looks fluffy and its fishing. Maybe it can help me get to land!
"Help!" I scream. It comes out hoarse. My neck is all scratchy and it feels like I havent eaten in days. Oh wait... The fuzzy animal doesnt look up.
"Help! Please!" I scream again. This time it looks up. It starts looking around and finally, its eyes land on the boat. It gets up and starts running into the forest thats behind it.
"No! Wait!" I scream. It disappeas into the line of trees. I look down at the floor and start to wimper. No tears fall. I look back up and my vision gets blurry and it hurts to be awake.
"Please.." I whisper and my vision clouds to darkness.
