Alycia braced herself as she walked towards Lemington Secondary School, the big double doors looming over her as she tried to keep herself upright in the heels she had borrowed from Nasra, who she was leaning against.

"Stop pulling that face" Nasra shouted.

"What face? This is just my face?? I can't stop my face from looking the way it does"

"Don't worry Lyss, you look amazing" Nasra squeezed Alycia's hand.

She had borrowed one of Nasra's dresses coz paying for a completely new outfit for just one night? Aint nobody got time for that.

She looked down at her regal purple satin dress for one last time, the cowl neck line went just low enough to show a little cleavage - well a little was all she could work with, but it managed to hug all the right places to accentuate her figure. She put her long hair into a fishtail plait and adorned a gold flower pin in her hair. Alycia's make up skills had massively improved in the last year of college thanks to good old youtube and kind sir Bretman Rock. Following a tutorial she managed to create a simple yet elegant look, her eyes shone ember against her skin and her thick eyebrows were combed into place, the only colour on her face being her rosy cheeks and bright cobalt red lips that she had carefully carved.

"One last hurrah" Alycia nudged Nasra with a smile.

"Let's goooo I need a drink already"

5 drinks on and Alycia had lost her best friend in the crowd.

Feet aching, and with the sullen feeling of disappointment and anger at Ruby for leaving her, she stumbled across the dance floor towards the fire exit and into the courtyard.

"Stupid fricking stupid dumb idiot heels! Did the person that designed these shoes hate feet???"

"And who the fuck likes house music anyway?" she said to herself "Isn't it a crime to make the ears of your students bleed???"

"You have a very annoying voice for someone so small" boomed a voice.

Alycia turned around sharply to glare down the bastard that had interrupted her train of thought, and her eyes met with what could only be described as one of earth's greatest wonders.

Before her stood a man, who looked to be a few years older than her, his luscious black hair was gelled back revealing a beautifully carved face, his cheekbones rose high and his jawline looked as if it could cut through glass. The man's lips were full and parted slightly to form a hint of a smile, between them was a lit cigarette that he took a long drag from, his eyes were a dazzling light blue and Alycia could not seem to pull away from them. Though his face was sharp and seemed harsh at a glance, Alycia couldn't help feeling like his face was just so pretty and breath-taking. He was wearing a tux that flawlessly lined his muscular body, and he looked perfectly suited for the event of a school dance, however there was something about his aura that Alycia knew meant trouble.

He took a final drag from his fag before he chucked it on the floor.

"Didn't mummy and daddy tell you that little girls like you shouldn't stare" he said with a smirk. "So why don't you piss off  before you get stuck in the right place at the right time"

"I was just staring at that comb over of yours, male pattern baldness is no laughing matter y'know" she exclaimed confidently. "I suggest you get that checked out before your hairline ends up getting stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time"

Alycia couldn't read the man's unchanged face, but she could tell that he was taken aback. His face contorted into a scowl and he came closer just a few inches away from her face as she was backed up against the wall, he even more beautiful up close Alycia thought, as he towered over her.

"Don't make mistakes you can't run away from darling, it may end very badly for you"

"Ouuuuu does that line work well on your other conquests? I think that's very egotistical of you"

"You think I'm trying to hit on you?" he said as he let out an exaggerated laugh. "Ugly is not my type" his eyes travelling down my body, lingering on my breasts "you're a lot smaller  than what I usually go for"

"HEYyy watch where your eyes go wondering buddy, what I may lack in the buns area I make up for in the guns area" Alycia said as she tried to shove him away, but she was met with a hard surface which only made Alycia bounce back onto the wall like jello. "Get off me you freak"

"I'm not even on you, but you would like that wouldn't you" he smirked as his eyes darkened and pierced into Alycia's skin.

"Over my dead body you jerk!"

"You might be if you keep opening that tiny irritating mouth of yours. Now do me a favour, why don't you f*ck off like a good little pet before you see something not so pretty."

"I already have.. it's your face!" she exclaimed and mustered all the strength she could and jabbed him in his rib just like she'd learnt at taekwondo. He must not have expected it because he let out a wince, and with that Alycia managed to slip out of his towering encirclement. "See what's the point of all the muscle if it's gonna slow you downnn.. not so shabby for a 'small' girl like me huh??"

And she managed to run back inside to find her best friend.
