The Love Of My Life

Kakashi and I sat on the cliff, our feet dangling, I was leaning on Kakashi and his arm was wrapped around my waist.

"You know... If we jump now, take that leap it would be not so scary." I said, just speaking my thoughts randomly.

"Hm? Why would you say that?" He asked and glanced at me.

"Cause, I'm taking that leap with, Kakashi Hatake. My boyfriend, lover, best friend, and soon to be husband." I smiled and hugged his side, tightly.

He chuckled and tightened his grip around my waist.

"So, are you saying we should jump right now? I don't even know what's at the bottom of this cliff." He glanced at me.

"Yes! We should jump! And, close our eyes and hope for the best!" I shouted, standing up.

He looked up at me, damn well knowing I'm serious.

"Hm... Well, if we die, at least our wedding can be in heaven." He said, following that with a light laugh as he stood up.

"Would that be free?" I asked, and held my hand out to him.

He took my hand in his. "Well, I would like to think so. And, all the people you want to be in the wedding will be."

"Like, Shisui. And, the rest of the Uchiha clan." I smiled and closed my eyes.

"They'll be at our wedding even if it was here." He said, as he shut his eyes.

"They'll be standing in the back, cheering or quietly clapping, right? And, Shisui would be shouting and clapping the loudest. His big sister is getting married." I laughed softly.

"Yeah. But, I think Naruto would out clap Shisui. Well... Everyone." He chuckled.

"Right! Naruto, will be jumping up and down, clapping and cheering." I laughed, and tightened my grip on his hand.

Now jump! Jump with no regrets! Jump with hope for the future!

Kakashi and I jumped, with our eyes shut tight with no hesitation and no regrets. But, only filled with hope and happiness, for anything that could happen to us.

Our hands, our fingers were tangled together tightly.

Any moment now. Any moment now we could meet our fate. Meet our end.

"Hey, Kakashi?" I asked, with my eyes still closed.

"Yes?"

"Who did we invite to our wedding?"

"Hm... Tsunade, Asuma, Naruto, Sakura, Jiraiya, Shizune, Guy, and Kurenai." He answered.

"Alright. I want Sakura and Naruto with front row seats." I said.

"Already done, anything else about the wedding?"

"Hm... Nope, I'm ready."

He chuckled and squeezed my hand, tightly.

"I love you, my wife."

"I love you too, my husband."

S P L A S H

My eyes shot open, and immediately looked around and gasped for air.

I was surrounded by water, and as I was about to start panicking. I felt my hand being squeezed again. And, my body being pulled to the surface.

I looked up and saw Kakashi dragging me up.

I smiled and swam with him.

We finally made it for the surface.

We both gasped for air, but what surprised me was Kakashi's action.

He started laughing.

I looked at him, "Why are you laughing?"

His laughing died down to chuckling, and then he slowly stopped.

He reached his free hand up and pulled his wet mask down.

It revealed, his small, handsome, adorable smile.

"You looked so scared, it was funny." He said.

I huffed and playfully punched him.

"I was just panicked! I didn't know where you went!"

He laughed and held his hand up, which was tangled with mine.

"I never let go. And, if you want, I'll never let go."

I smiled, and gave him a quick kiss, then looked away.

"Come on, let's go home, Kakashi."

He nodded, "Alright, but first..."

I looked back at him, as he trailed off.

He gave my hand another quick squeeze and then he kissed me, gently and lovingly.

I smiled and kissed back.

After a minute and some seconds, he pulled away.

"I'm happy, that I was given the chance to meet you, date you, kiss you, talk to you, be with you, live with you, argue with you, fight with you, and now I get to marry you."

I felt my cheeks heating up, I smiled and leaned in close to his ear.

"I think, there's one more thing you forgot. But, don't worries, I'll remind you when we get home." I whispered and then moved away from his ear.

He chuckled and nodded, "Well, let's go home then, (Y/N)."

We both then swam to the land, holding hands and swimming in sync.
