Two days passed. Jack didn't leave his room and wasn't seen by anyone except Venus, with her frequent visits. Tensions were moderate between the three humans in the bunker. Lines had been very clearly drawn in the sand, and Dean made it strikingly clear that he was not happy about it. He was only just starting to come around by the second full day they'd been home.

Sam and Venus sat across from each other at one of the tables in the library. Sam was finishing up a call with Jody as Dean walked in from the kitchen.

"What's up?" He asked.

"You'll never believe this," Sam scoffed. "I got a call from Missouri Mosely."

"Wow..." Dean shook his head. "What's it been, like, a decade?"

Venus leaned back in her chair, "More. And it sounds like she's found trouble."

"Sounds like she got out of the life for a while but something happened and she needed help with a case," Sam took a breath. "So, I put Jody on it."

Dean looked baffled, and Venus shook her head, looking away, "Why would you do that?"

"Because we need to stay here," Sam said. "We need to help Jack learn to control his powers. Jody can handle this."

"Yeah, maybe she can," Dean shot back. "Or maybe she ends up dead because you wanted to skip out on her to babysit the Antichrist."

"Dean, don't..." Venus sighed, she hated to see her brothers arguing.

Sam added, "We need him... Mom--"

"Don't. You..." Dean took a step closer. "If you wanna stay here and Mr. Miyagi this kid, knock yourself out. I didn't sign up for that. So I'm going to work. V?"

Venus opened her mouth, hoping for words to magically escape her lips that would make this situation easier, but none came. She could only exhale, close her mouth, and shake her head, "Dean..."

"Unbelievable..." Her brother walked away, muttering to himself. Venus flopped backwards into her chair with a soft groan as Sam rubbed his forehead.

The girl looked exasperatedly at her brother, who just shook his head and shrugged lightly. Neither of them had words. They'd never been so divided by something like this before, and it felt awful. None of them knew how to feel united again. Venus rubbed her face a few times before changing the subject. She couldn't bear to think about Dean anymore.

"Okay..." Venus began. "What's your plan then? What are you wanting to do with Jack?"

Sam closed his computer and focused his attention on Venus, "Well, I think we definitely need to start small, you know? Like, just see where he's at and then go from there."

The girl nodded.

"So I was thinking," Sam mused, reaching into his bag. "We start really small. With this pencil."

"What, with like, moving it? Breaking it? Throwing it? What?"

"Anything really."
