(Karma)
My golden eyes roamed the classroom and landed on a blunette sitting quietly at his desk. Koro-sensei had his back to the class and was drawing on the blackboard, explaining ancient history that should've stayed buried.
I twirled my pencil in my hand, staring at the back of Nagisa's head, ignoring everything the teacher was saying. Nagisa was staring intently at Koro-sensei, scribbling down notes in his book.
The bell rung from somewhere else in the building, signaling the end of the day. Everyone rushed out of the room, eager to get home and start their weekend. I stood outside of the broken down school building, waiting for Nagisa to finish up inside.
"Hey, Karma," Nagisa said, coming outside. "Want to walk home together?"
"Sure," I say.
Nagisa began chatting away about something in one of the lessons and I listened half-heartedly. We were half-way down the mountain when he stopped and looked at me with his sparkling, sapphire blue eyes.
"Hey, Karma wanna go check out the new arcade with me?"
"Yeah, why not?" I say. It's not like I had anything planned.
"Great!"
We walked to the train station and passed through the security gate, scanning our cards. The bullet train cruised through the city smoothly, going so fast that it seemed like it wasn't moving at all.
Nagisa and I got off at the next station and walked down the street towards a building lit up by neon lights. The inside was filled with kids who had just gotten off of school, all crowding around games. I went up to the man at the counter and handed him some money. When I had gotten our tickets I walked back to Nagisa and gave him half of the stack, and he ran off to play a shooter game near the door.
I chuckle to myself, at least now I know where he trains to shoot. I walked up to a racing game and grabbed the steering wheel while at the same time, inserting two tickets into the machine. I had only been playing for five minutes when I heard some shouting from behind me.
I got up to see what all the shouting was about, and to my horror, saw Nagisa thrown to the ground by a couple of A-class jerks.
"Maybe next time you'll think before playing one of our games!"
Nagisa started to get up but was instantly slammed back down by one of the boys.
"Nu-uh, you haven't learned your lesson yet," the tallest one sneered, stomping down hard on Nagisa's leg and a sickening crack echoed through the arcade.
Other kids in the arcade started to laugh along with the bullies and I felt my blood begin to boil. I charged towards them and rammed into one of the bullies. He fell over with a loud thud. I stood over him and grinned, showing off my signature sharp canine teeth.
"His lesson might not be over yet, but yours hasn't even started."
The other boys let out a roar and charged toward me. I grabbed the first one by his sleeve and swung him around, sending him flying back towards his comrades. He hit them with so much force that they all fell back, right into a trash can.
"Just like domino's," I say, walking towards them menacingly.
Their eyes filled with fear and they all scrambled toward the door and into the street outside. I turned around and faced the crowd of kids, all staring at me, dumbstruck.
"Anyone else feel like laughing?" I asked, spreading my arms out wide.
They all hurriedly turned back to their games, avoiding eye contact with me. Nagisa sat up and gripped his leg tightly. I knelt down next to him and pulled up his pants to expose his leg. It was red and swollen, obviously broken.
