Hoops and Ladders Chapter 4

"Booker!" Levi screamed. "What?" Booker asked. "The results are in for the team!" Levi said. Booker ran over to the result sheet. "What? I didn't get in?!? " Booker said. Booker ran to Coach Spitz. "Coach, why didn't I get on the team?" Booker asked mad. " I saw Tess's potential. " Coach said smiling. "But why not me?" Booker asked. 

Raven and Chelsea were still at home. "CHELS HELP ME!!!!" Raven screamed. Then Raven, has a vision of Booker saying: "It's always about Tess!" Booker said frowning and throwing a basketball at someone. " Chels! I just had vision of Booker saying it's always about Tess. " Raven said serious. "Bookers mad?" Chelsea asked. "Well he was frowning so yeah. " Raven said. "So hey what was that phone call with Garret all about?" Raven asked. "Uhhhh nothing." Chelsea said lying. Raven frowned. "Don't lie to me Chelsea!" Raven said. " Ok fine! It was about Levis sister. " Chelsea said tearing up. "Its just so hard to lie to Levi!" Chelsea said crying. Raven hugged Chelsea. "I think it's time you finally tell him." Raven said.

Nia and Lily were talking about their friendship between Nia, Tess and Lily. "I'll go talk to her." Nia said walking over to Tess. Lily nodded and started talking to Addy. "Tess, I know why you're mad at me." Nia said. "Its about time. " Tess said frowning. "I know why you're mad because, I-I can read minds." Nia confessed. "Really? Do you expect me to believe that?" Tess said. "No I'm serious!" Nia said telling the truth.

Tess's mom drove the kids back to the apartment. "Hey kids!" Raven said smiling. "Hey mom!" Nia said greeting Raven. " Hey Mrs. B! " Tess said. "Thanks again Tess for letting your mom drive us home Tess." Nia said smiling. Booker picked up his basketball. "Oh yeah you left that there this morning sweeti------" Chelsea said cut off by Booker. "Its always about Tess!" Booker said throwing the ball at Tess. Tess caught the ball. "She's better at everything than me!" Booker said stomping to his room. "What happend?!? " Raven asked worried. "Booker is mad and sad because Tess made the basketball team at school and he didn't." Levi said walking to him and Bookers room. "I think it's time I tell him." Chelsea said. " Well mom, me and Tess are going to meet our two new friends on the rooftop. " "Ok be safe and make good choices!" Raven said. Nia and Tess walked out. "Yeah I think it's time you tell him too." Raven said.
