Under the Moon and Stars With You

Chapter 2: Welcome To The Moon, Selenophile

As I pressed the button, I felt strange. My body turned into dust and was absorbed by the telescope. "Is this how Spiderman felt during the Avengers Infinity War over a century ago?" I asked myself. "Cut your imagination, I know this is not real. Please, this is not real!" I pleaded.

Inside the telescope was like a portal. Everything was swirling around like Vincent Van Gough's painting, "The Starry Night".

I became dizzy and nausea. Darkness filled my eyes as I became unconcious.

Time passed... My eyes opened and a handsome yellow-haired man appeared in front of me.

"Where am I?" I asked.
"In the moon." he answered mysteriously.
"Seriously? Are you kidding right now?" I said sarcastically.
"No" he answered.
"Who are you by the way?" I asked.
"My name's Leo. Leo Gold. And you?" he asked while staring at me with his bright and beautiful green eyes.
"Austraea Starlight, nice to meet you. What am I doing here?"
"I don't know. We found you falling from the atmosphere unconsciously so I catched you." he answered proudly smiling.
"You liar. Let's just go outside and see." I boasted.

We went outside and I really am in the moon. "Wow! I'm in the moon. But how?" I asked. "You used the telescope transportation. Earthlings use them but there are more transportations present." Leo answered. "Why don't I give you a tour?" he added. "That'd be helpful." I answered.

He started the tour with the origin of the moon and its existence. "There are many moons in the galaxy but right now we are on Earth's moon, Luna. Not everyone are allowed to be here because you need to have special abilities and features like being able to breathe without oxygen. We call ourselves Selenophiles. We train to be the protector of our planet which is the Earth from the dark matter outside and inside of our world."

We stopped right in front of a building. "This is the Artemis Academy, it is where we train and learn everything."

We roamed around as he introduced me to various buildings.

"It's starting." he said. "What's starting?" I asked. "The ceremony, let's go. I already enrolled you online." he said.

We went inside the university but he was suddenly gone and the head mistress started talking.

"Let us welcome the student council president, our top student, and the son of our Goddess Selene, Prince Leo Gold." When our head mistress announced that I was shocked.

"Good full moon my fellow selenophiles, ... I now welcome you to our one and only Artemis Academy."

After Leo's speech an army of students ran to him like he's their idol but surprisingly he ran towards me and grabbed my hand escaping from his fans. I blushed. His soft and strong hand held mine but I shouldn't be feeling anything especially after my heart break.

We hid on a corner but the space was too little so we need to squeeze inside to fit in. He embraced me for us to fit in. "Do you like this?" he asked while laughing. "No, and why would I?" I answered irritated. "Maybe because you like me." he said. "Shut up and let's go they're gone." I answered to change our subject. "Let's go get your keys for your dorm." he ordered.

We went to the dorm and received my keys and he walked me to my room. "Thank you for everything. But why did you help a stranger?" I asked. "Because I want to be there for someone when they don't have anyone. Because I don't want others to feel the lonliness I felt back then." he answered.

What he said to me strucked me. His eyes were sad and lonely. He also felt empty, the same emptiness I felt back then." Don't worry, I'm here. You are not alone. I promise." I hugged him and he hugged me back.
A hug that was very comfortable and comforting. Who even knew that we both felt empty although we've only met on that same day. We had a connection. We felt as one. "That's sweet but I'll go now. Get ready for your class tommorow." he said before leaving.

"Who is he? What happened to him? Why?..... How?....." I asked myself the questions I can never answer. "But those questions are for another day." I said.

I laid in my bed and my eyes closed before I could even notice...
