The Crimson Guild arrived at Torith looking for travelers who needed escort. Julius had not want to go Torith, for he is too tired. In that case, Alexander, Caleb, and Nikondi stayed waiting, in a heat wave.
"Are we going to stay here till dusk?" Nikondi asked Alexander. "We want people to know of the Crimson Guild, the next White Hawk Guild, but better, so yes we must stay until anyone passes by" Alexander answered. Nikondi was beginning to grow furious, but the heat from the sun gave into him. Caleb walks towards Nikondi and questioned him " Can't you use one of your freeze spells to cool us off?" "It doesn't work like that, if I did use it, we'll eventually start complaining about the freezing cold" Nikondi responded.
Hours gone by, the group started making a fire, for it is dawn.
Alexander kept his purple flames burning in the palm of his hand and walking around the campfire, while Nikondi was taking a nap. Caleb on the other hand was checking the group's supplies. "We should leave, it was wrong of me to you guys waiting for potential travelers." Alexander told to Caleb. "Don't apologize brother. Besides, Nikondi invented a game for us to play back in Julius' place." Suddenly, they see a light from the distance. A frail, old woman pulling a wagon full of pottery with a little girl holding a lantern beside her. The wheels of the worn-out wagon made a loud noise which awakened Nikondi from his nap. Alexander sprang up and approached the old woman. "Do you need some assistance ma'am? We are part of a guild that escorts travelers or passersby across Torith" Alexander said in excitement. "Ah yes, my granddaughter and I need to travel to Jonin to sell some of the pots in my wagon" the old woman says to Alexander. "Say, are you fine gentlemen part of the White Hawk Guild?" the old woman asked. Alexander looked backed at his crew and says "We are indeed".
Though the road from Dura to Jonin was not treacherous, it was covered in mist. Alexander led the way and Caleb was next to the little girl. Nikondi was struggling to pull the cart. "Why do I have to pull the wagon while you and Caleb walk freehanded?" Nikondi asked Alexander. "I believe it's very tactical in this formation, wouldn't you agree Caleb?" Alexander looked back at Caleb. "Oh yes, by the way, are your parents in Dura little girl. The girl did not respond, she was too shy and hid behind Caleb.
Suddenly, Alexander began to see a vision. He sees his friends covered in blood and his hands are covered as well. Kill them. Kill them both. Alexander was frightened by the voice and quickly searched around the wagon. The old woman showed a nasty grin ande her voice began to sound devilish. "You are not going to enjoy for what comes next" the old woman says to the group. She began to transform into a grotesque creature. Then takes the form of a jester. "My name is Ura the Jester, sent by the great demon commander of the underworld to exterminate you insects!" exclaimed Ura. Alexander was frozen in place due to his realization of his vision coming to life. Caleb quickly tries to draw his sword but was quickly decapitated. As the blood spurred out of his body, Ura retracted his sharp talons and impaled Nikondi before he could use his magic. "Alexander hel-" Nikondi cried out but Ura stabbed him through his mouth and drinks his blood as if it were a water fountain. Alexander stared at his dead friends and was in awe. His body shivering while the blood runs to his feet. "You could've done something, but you humans are merely cattle" Ura spoked.
Alexander jumped from his bed and felt relief after realizing it was nightmare. His heart kept beating and felt the sweat coming from his forehead. Alexander got up and opened the curtains, the sun was beginning to rise.
The Crimson Guild wasn't really an official guild. The members stay at Julius' house in the town of Rime. A sign above the entrance of the house is a poorly written "Crimson Guild". Julius keeps many books which he stole from other magic user and his friends have to pay him for staying at his home. Nikondi is at the kitchen making breakfast. Julius and Caleb are in the living room.
Caleb reaches for sword but Julius interrupts him. "I will not let you use your sword in my house, haven't you remembered last time where you sliced my books in half?". Caleb stares at him with a deadly glance. Alexander have walked into the living room and tells Julius " Have you found any missions that can pay us well?" Julius remained silent, he stayed up all night studying magic spells to cast for future combat."Nevermind then, I will head to Dura and speak to the king himself for a task" said Alexander. Nikondi rushes into the room with a strip of bacon in his hand. "May I join for this expedition? I will want to buy some new books for my research" Nikondi asks Alexander. "Unfortunately, I will go alone. I have something to do that could affect me significantly if it's not dealt with" Alexander says to his friends. Alexander leaves for Dura to ask the king for a mission and unexplained personal task he has to accomplish. Alexander brings with him his sword and a mysterious scroll in his bag. He knows his visions will come true if he can't use it to his advantage.
