The Race

"Wait slow down!"
Maliq shouts to Martina as she starts to pick up speed on her baby pink and blue longboard. The same colours as her favourite sweaters that Maliq got her as gifts. (i love them)
"Nahhhh."
Martina shouts back looking over her shoulder trying to stick out her tongue that doesn't even come out of her mouth. 😂
She looks back in front of her and keeps cruising down the street. Stoping at the end of the street she looks back and yells.
"Your turn!"
Maliq shakes his head and smiles. His smile is just one of the many cute things that Martina loves about him. He gets on his longboard and with so much style and ease cruises down the street to meet her. He rides towards her and pretends to crash into her.
"Hey! careful!" she whines in her super high pitched voice that isn't even that high pitched. He swerves around her and laughs.
"You're so cute" he says.
"Ha ha, very funny" she says back.
He keeps riding around her in slow circles just to take in the moment. They didn't break eye contact once.
"I have an Idea"
Maliq looks at her with a questioning look. And his golden eyes widen when he realizes what his girlfriend has got in mind.
"NO! We are not racing again!"

" Come on!!! Please" Martina walks closer to him and hugs him.
"Please cutie ❤️"

"Martina what happened last time?" Maliq looks at her seriously.

"You won." She answers him

"Exactly and I will win again" He says to her. "And you almost got hurt last time, so nah."

"You just don't want to lose." She says as she tilts her head side to side.

"fine, get your board let's go, but last one ever" he says.

"Yay!" she jumps up and down and gives him a kiss on the cheek.

They line up their boards at the end of street. Each of them have one foot on their boards. They are the cutest couple in the world so they have matching vans in every colour and today they were wearing the red ones. (come on i want to match red vans with youuuu!!!!)

"First one to the stop sign wins" Martina says to him and he nods.
They count down from 3.

"3...2...1.. GO!!"
And they both started going down the street. Martina's in the lead by 3ft but only because Maliq was letting her win.

She was just a few feet away from winning when she sees a snail her path. She loves snails so much and avoids hitting it. She veered to the left but her wheel hits a rock and she flies off her board.

"MARTINA!!!" Maliq yells jumping off his longboard and running towards her.

"Are you okay? where are you hurt?" He asks her concerned and scans her body to make sure she's okay.

"I'm fine" she says sitting up.
she looks at her knee and there is a huge gash on the top of it.
"oh look i'm bleeding, ha ha that's nice." she then looks around panicked.
"where's the snail?!?"

Maliq rolls his eyes.
"your face is bleeding too." he touches the cut on her forehead.

"i'm fine let's go again"

"jokes, you're going inside and i'm gonna take care of your boo boos"

she smiles ❤️

"okay but first i need to see if the snail is okay"

they both laugh and head inside so Maliq can take care of her.
