C H A P T E R I

I've been working in Ionia for almost a month now,, I'm the only creature who isn't that "special" let's say,, like look at ahri,, she is a 7 tailed fox and I'm just,, a human.
I've been working in a little hotel near the mountains as a maid,,
Yeah I know is not such a good job but it keeps me ongoing.
Today was a basic day like the other,, I cleaned and prepared everything for the new comings and other pointless stuff. I go to the room service because a man asked for new sheets. I knocked on the wooden door.

"ehm,, room service! I came to change  the sheets as you asked sir"

"Yeah come in"

I slowly open the door and try not to trip in other stuff on the floor I then go forward and rest the sheets on the table near the bed and turn around to see the man,, he was looking out the window and was dressed in a strange way,,, he also had a mask on so i couldn't see his face,, I just proceed and change the sheets without annoying him.
All types of people passes trough ionia so it's not that strange seeing someone like him.

"1..2..3..4....1...2..3..4"

I finished doing what i had to do and ask him if he wanted anything else

"do you know what are those lantern for,, my dear?"

"oh they are for the Ionian festival sir,, tonight there is gonna be a performance from the theatre or something like that,, I'm not really sure hehe.."

He turns towards me and sees his only uncovered eye staring right at me and i just smile and leave the room.

[time skip to night time]

I was going into my break and got my coat from the maids main room and see a friend of mine (still maid) go into her shift so I wave at her and then go.
As soon as I got out the door of the hotel i remember that I left my keys in the waiting room so I went back in and took them but as i was going to the door I hear a loud gunshot. I see some of the maids running away,, I go for the gunshots instead.
I run through the rooms until I open the door of the last room in the hallway and see one of the maids that got shot in the head, her whole brain was all over the room i stable back and gag a little trying not to vomit then I reach for the window and look outside, I see the man I talked to this morning running away while reloading a gun,, I obviously decide to go over at him,, I'm not a hero I'm just stupid.
I jumped out the window and landed on a little roof and slide down on the dirt and start running towards him,, i noticed he was heading to the theatre.
I just kept on running till i see him stopping and running towards me

"what is he doing"

He runs near me without saying anything,, I didn't realize he was running from someone.
I see a shadow running towards me with blades,, I didn't know what to do so i just closed my eyes and waited for the impact of the blades but instead I hear a gunshot from behind and then a hand grabbing me from my arm

"run!"
