After carefully putting away their clarinets, Lauren and Ashley exited the band room into the dim hallway towards the bathrooms. The walls were concealed of faded, chipped, white bricks and a scuffed tile floors.
“R-A-M-S!!!!” Lauren cheered once again. Her voice was beginning to crack from all the screaming she had be doing.
“Oh my god, stop saying that!” Ashley laughed, giving her a playful push. That had to be the hundredth time she had randomly blurted that out. Is this how she sounded when she was talking about Austin?
“Mmk..” Lauren mumbled with a devious look. There were a few moments of silence while Lauren continued to look up and down the halls with a mischievous look. “How bout…. Phil-Phil-Phil Lester "Ashley slapped her hand over the green eyed girl’s mouth as fast as possible.
“ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? I HATE YOU!” Ashley’s eyes were huge and her face was a bright red. She glanced over her should to inspect a, thankfully, empty hallway.
“Yeah?” someone from the dressing room called. The two girls became silent. ‘Hello?” the voice called again. Lauren began to follow the voice, but Ashley already knew where it would lead.
“Where are you going?!” Ashley snapped under breath.
“To tell you boyfriend hello.” Lauren explained “Silly.” She tapped Ashley’s nose.
“He isn’t my-“
“Did someone call me?” A tall figured appeared in the corner of Ashley’s eye.
“I don’t think so. ” Lauren said. How could she talk to him so easily? She just talked to him, but Ashley hid her face under her bangs and twiddled her thumbs while her friend started to hit things off with Phil better than her. Say something stupid.
“You sure?” his angelic voice said with confusion while scratching the back of his head. The hem of his black shirt raised up to expose his pale stomach. Shit. “Could have sworn someone was yelling for me.” He looked up and down the barren hallway. Don’t look at him. Don’t do it. Ashley knew her face had to be bright crimson.
“Nope, I think you are hearing things.” Lauren said with a soft laugh under her breath. Say something Ashley. Come on.
“Oh…um okay.” He took his glasses off to expose his ice blue eyes.
“Dirty boy.” Ashley mumbled. Wait..what?
“What?!” Lauren laughed. Why..why?!
“I’m actually quite clean.” Phil pointed out. “I take a shower every morning.” Don’t picture him naked and in the shower. . Damn, stop being cute. Just stop it!!!!!
“No, don’t stop it.” Ashley thought out loud. Ashley froze and Lauren was doing her best to hide her snickering. Phil looked up at Ashley with squinted eyes. He had to blind as a bat, poor baby.
“Don’t stop what?” He laughed, continuing to clean the other lens of his glasses. The fuck is wrong with me? There was a long silence.
“BELIEVING!! HOLD ON TO THE FEELING!!!” Lauren blurted out. Phil flashed his dashing smile.
“I’ll be sure to do that.” He laughed as he turned back into the dressing room. “CHRIS GET OFF OF SEAN!” He snapped as he shut the door behind him.
“Whaaaaattt??” Lauren squealed. “Right into the Shriss feels.”
“Right in my feels! He is so cute…” Ashley buried her face into her hands “What is wrong with me?”
“You are in loooooovvvvvee” Lauren smirked. It was true. Ashley was in love with some totally perfect, completely beautiful, and unbearably cute. If only he knew, but Ashley knew that he would continue to be completely oblivious to her and how she felt.
