The Twist of the Stepsisters

Chapter One

I was a normal girl, with a normal mom, and a normal sister. I had a normal life...until my mom got remarried.

It was a sunny Saturday in June, and my mother approached my sister, Jenna, and me. "Girls, I have some very exciting news," she said. Immediately, Jenna jumped out of her chair, her brown hair flying. "We better not be moving!" she shouted. My mother chuckled. "We're not, don't worry," she said, "I'm getting remarried."

My eyes widened. "Remarried? I know that you're dating a man that you really like, and I respect that, but you've only known each other for a year!" I scolded, and it seemed that my red hair was reflecting my mood. I was angry at my mother.

"Rosie, dearest, don't get upset! It's true love," mom answered. She was acting so childish! For all she knew, the man she was dating could've been a murderer!

"Mother, I'm with Rosie on this one. You can't marry a man you just met!" Jenna said. "Thank you Jenna," I replied. My mother sighed. "Well, at least you get a new sister," she said.
