Murder house
Tate: You laughed obnoxiously with your friends at some stupid reference one of them made. Jason was hilarious, and you were so glad to have him join your friend group. You looked up at the clock on your wall for the first time in hours. "Damn," you said, "it's getting late. Sorry, gang, I've got a morning shift tomorrow, I'm gonna have to cut our party short." You said lugging yourself up off the floor. The living room filled with the diverse groans of your friends and you chuckled. "Get out, free-loaders." You laughed, pulling one of your girlfriends up reluctantly.
You said your goodbyes to the majority of your friends as you escorted them to the door, but Jason straggled behind. "Out." You said, smiling at him and pointing through the open door. He smiled hesitantly. "Can I stay the night?" You were caught off guard. He quickly continued, sensing your surprise. "It's just my parents and I have been fighting a lot and I.. I don't know I don't really want to be around them right now. And I don't think they want to be around me either, honestly. " He explained and you felt a pang of regret for your initial aversion.
"Oh, uh, yeah man. Whatever you need.. I really do have to be up early though, so." You started awkwardly, thinking of how this could work. "My aunt gets home pretty late and sometimes likes to crash on the couch, so I'd say your best bet is in the basement." You saw his face pale and chuckled a little, embarrassed. "It's really not so bad down there, I'll bring down the best blankets."
He fiddled with his rainbow pride bracelet. "Can't I sleep in your bed?" Again, you were caught off guard. "I don't think that's such a good idea," you tried to keep the mood light with a friendly wink and short laugh. "My boyfriend can get pretty jealous." You started up the stairs to search for extra blankets and Jason followed. "He doesn't have to know." Bad vibes. You stopped halfway through your step and turned around to look at him seroiusly. "You can sleep in the basement, Jason, or you can go home." You shrugged.
He sighed exaggeratedly causing you to smirk. "Fine. I just get a little scared in the dark." He said and walked back down the stairs to wait for you. You fetched everything he would need to sleep on the basement couch and met him there. "Here ya go, man. It's past my bedtime," you yawned and began walking backwards up the stairs. "You grandma." "You're welcome!" You called laughing. You went to sleep as normal, unaware that your boyfriend was wide awake and roaming.
Jason woke up in a cold sweat to the sight of a crazy white boy standing over him, watching him. "Jesus!" He whisper yelled. "Who the fuck are you?" He said. Tate chuckled in disbelief. "Who the fuck are you? Who do you think you are, really?" He was getting too heated too fast. Jason sat up, hands raising up in instinctive defense. "Hey, man, I'm a friend of (Y/n)'s, she told me I could sleep down here, I don't--" "Yeah, she told you you could sleep down here. Because she's nice. But that wasn't enough for you, was it? You wanted to sleep with her? In her bed? Are you fucking insane?!" Tate slapped his own head as a reference to insanity. "I just thought --" "What?! What did you just think, huh? Did you not see how uncomfortable that made her?"
Jason didn't know what to say. Tate could not be reasoned with when he was in one of his moods. "I'm sorry.." He stuttered out weakly. Tate shook his head slowly, bringing his hands up to cover his laughing mouth. "No. You're not yet... But you will be." The lights shuttered on and off and the ghosts that lurked within that house came together to scare the bejeezus out of poor Jason.
You woke up to Tate gently sliding into your bed next to you and you settled back against his strong arms. "Jason's gone.."He whispered. "What?" You said, still half asleep. "Jason, your friend.. He said he had to leave. Something about being scared of the dark." Tate smirked a litte, closing his eyes and inhaling the scent of your hair. "He's gay you know.." You relaxed back into him, smiling a bit at his jealousy. Honestly, you did feel safer now that he was gone. "Can't be too careful. Men are animals, I should know." He growled hotly in your ear and you giggled.
