Clock watching

15 3 1

If I wait ten minutes will you come

Knocking on my door

Or perhaps I'll wait an hour if it means

You'll come once more

I could wait till the snow comes round and

Freezes up our noses

I could wait until summer springs again

And brings along the posies

I could wait till I am wrinkled with time

yet still mulling over moments

Wait to hear your steadfast voice

Pleading its exponents

Maybe you'll appear when my skies turn grey

or you'll leave my ever beating heart slowly to decay
