I rubbed my face in a tired manner. Yet again, I ate my breakfast alone and prepared myself for school - yes, dreaded school. I shouldn't have hated it so much since I had Kagami there but I guess when you love another girl for so long and then move on, some things are never the same. Speaking of the same, nothing has ever been the same with my new girlfriend and 'getting along' would be an understatement to her. 'Was it a mistake being with her?' I questioned myself within my head before snapping out of my negative thoughts as my high-school came into view.
Plagg peeped out of my bag with a piece of his disguising cheese in hand and gave me a slanted expression. "What?" I whisper shouted as he simply shook his head and went back to rest within the walls of my school bag. Moving on from Plagg, I had hardly noticed that Kagami wasn't with me but I just expected her to have been early to class. Then, suddenly, a blue haired girl face palmed the ground in a violent manner and I abruptly turned around to see none other than Marinette Dupen-Cheng.
In the heat of the moment I offered out my hand to the girl but surprisingly she just shrugged it off and brushed the dust from her pink jeans. "Sorry Adrien" She stated, then making her way past me and to registration. I couldn't descrive how much it pained me to see her not blushing furiously or stuttering like mad. I had gotten so used to her lovable ways that seeing her like this towards me just filled me up with anger, sadness and hatred. But who's fault was it?
I made my way to class, shaking my head.
At least I still have Ladybug to talk to...

Marinette's POV
"Girl you have to see this!" Alya exclaimed, pushing her phone a good 1cm in front of my face and as my eyes adjusted to the picture in front of me, I had realised that it was Chat Noir and Ladybug in the picture. That picture being from last night where he had handed me a rose, now everyone knew!
I flushed red, even though I knew that nobody could possibly know that it was me and Chat in the picture. Who could've possibly seen us?! Nevertheless, I tried not to think of it and listened to the class instead.
Trying not to pay any attention to Adrien had been super difficult recently in the meantime, sure I accepted that we would never be in a relationship but it still hurt me every single time I see him with Kagami. Stupid boys! I rested my head on the desk in dismay and Tikki quietly whispered to me out of my bag , I turned to try and hide her.
"Don't worry so much Marinette! You have Luka now, it's all gonna go fine!", I smiled in response to her words, "and chat..." I replied before having to turn my attention back to the class. I smiled down at Tikki and fed her a macaroon from my coat pocket that I got this morning.
The class continued as I ended up occasionally glancing out of the window, my thoughts further filled with the two conflicting people in my life, Chat Noir and Luka. I propped up my head as I rested my hand against my chin, delving deeper into my thoughts. Mrs Bustier continued to speak to the class, though, I only began to pay attention at the mention of the upcoming dance.
"I hope that you're all exited for the school dance!" she smiled gleefully, "it will be held this Friday after school"
Cheers spread along the classroom and I gazed towards Adrien, who was currently sat with his new girlfriend around the front of the room. It was a miracle that Chloe was no longer making a fuss about him these days, now she just complains about every other topic regarding the school. I moved my attention to Alya, "Mrs! Are helpers needed to set up the hall on Friday?" she questioned. Mrs Bustier nodded towards Alya before speaking again to my classmates, "this year I shall be picking some helpers at random".
A wave of dread hit me in an instant as I thought about the possibility of being in such an awkward situation with Adrien - or even worse Adrien and Kagami! Alya waved her hand in front of my face, snapping me to reality as she usually did.
Could this day get filled with even more dread?
