Naira, was laying next to her daughter Kaira, and slowly trying to put her to bed. No matter, how many times she tried not to think of him, she always thought of him. Kartik.
She loves him so much, and he loves her too. But, he's been gone for two years now, as he is a solider, fighting for our country.
I keep telling myself, he's okay. But how do I know? All I have is the faith in god, and god will protect him. Just come home soon Kartik. Me and Kaira are waiting for you. I know how much you miss my Kuchories, I'll make them for you! I'll wear your favorite blue sari.
A tear escapes from her eye. Kaira noticed it.
"Mumma?" She asked. She looked very sad, seeing her mothers condition.
"Yes princess?" Naira said, wiping her tear.
"What's wrong?" Kaira asked.
"Nothing, do you want me to tell you a story?" Naira asked her.
"Yes!! Can you tell me the story about the Sherni & Mendak!" Kaira Said excitedly.
Naira closed her eyes, as she stoped her tears from coming down. The sherni and mendak story, was Naira and Kartik's love story, and it was also Kaira's favorite story.
Naira, was about to tell the story once she got the courage to. She looked over at kaira, but she fell asleep.
Naira kisses Kaira forehead, two times. One from her side, and the other from Kartik.

She thought.
Naira slowly walked out of Kaira's room, and went to her bedroom. Pictures of Kartik everywhere, but the most special picture, was in her heart.
His memories, she misses everything about him. The way he would scare her, surprise her, shower her with love.
Naira took out the necklace/locket around her neck. It was a heart, and she opened the heart and took out his picture.
She sat on the bed, and looked at his picture.
Flashback (2 years ago)
Naira was in her room, trying not to breakdown crying. Kartik came in quickly, and put his hands on her shoulder.
"Naira please don't cry. I know your gonna miss me, but I'll be home soon." Kartik said.
"Ka..rtik.. how...will.. I.. live without you! Before I met you, I didn't know how to live, and then you came and made my world better! How." Naira said while crying.
"Hey! Hey, just because we're not physically close, our hearts are close. Nothing can separate us, not even distance. And if you miss me, look at this picture of me. Remember our love, remember there is nothing stronger, then love. Remember the happy moments of us together." Kartik said holding her hand.

Flashback over.
"I look at your picture everyday Kartik. I love you Kartik! Every second I think of you, and I hope your doing okay. I know you miss Kaira, and she misses you a lot. Whenever she ask about you, I tell her, her papa is a very good man! He is saving many lives, and protecting our country." Naira said, talking to his picture.
"Just come home soon, we are waiting!" Naira said.

I miss your Naira and Kaira. My two Sherni's, Princess, Queen, my everything. Don't worry, I'll be home soon. I'm so sorry I left our family, but I know Naira, the best mother in the world, raised Kaira beautifully. I'm coming home.
I'm coming home Naira! I'm coming back! In 22 hours, I'll be with you, I'll be in your arms, inhaling your sent, I'll be with you Naira! I crave you so bad, I miss you! But nothing can break our relationship not even distance!

Naira fell asleep, with his picture on her chest, with tear stains in her eyes. She hasn't eaten any food, because she doesn't know if her Kartik has eaten.

Kartik paid, the taxi man the money. He took out the languages, and walked inside to the air port.
"One Step closer to you Naira." He said, taking out her picture.

Naira's alarm rang, at 5:30 AM. She woke up, and her day ends with talking to Kartik, and her day stars by talking to him.
She sits up on her bed, and texts Kartik.
Text:
Hey Kartik 💞 goodnight, sweet dreams💞.
She closes her phone, and she takes his picture.
"Good morning handsome. Are you coming today? Please come, I miss your, tar tar, your everything!" Naira said hugging the picture.

Kartik got pass security and was patiently waiting for his plane. He takes out the photo of Naira.
"Just a matter of hours, till I'll be in your arms Naira!" Kartik said.

Hours later, Kartik plane has landed and he is in this room decorating everything waiting for his sherni.
Because this is a surprise for both Kaira and Naira, Kartik got Naksh & Keerti help.

Keerti was with Naira, helping Naira get ready. Kaira was with Naksh, playing with each other.
"Bhabie where are we going?" Naira asked Keerti.
"Naira today it is a party, and I really want you to come!" Keerti said.
"But... what if Kartik comes?" Naira said.
"Please Naira, for your Bhabie?" Keerti said.
"Okay." Naira said, even thought she really didn't want to go.
Don't worry Naira, your only meeting your Kartik!
Keerti thought.
Keerti, then got Naira ready and took her to the place where the "party" was.

Keerti, walked away secretly.
"Bhabie!?" Naira said, she got worried because the room was very dark. Suddenly the lights turned on, and she saw a decorated room full of roses, hearts. And most importantly pictures of Kartik and Naira, together.
A tear escapes her eyes.
Who did this? Only one man is able to pull this off. My mendak. He's here! He's really here, I can sense him, here.
"Naira." Kartik said smiling standing right in front of her, just a few feet apart.
Naira looked up, and saw the man she has been craving, for two years.
Her heart finally started beating normally. Seeing him. Just one look at him, gives her life.
They both have a eye lock. Naira immediately runs to him, and hugs him.
"Mendak." She said.
"Sherni." He said.
They both look at each other, many tears come streaming down their eyes.
They both said "I love you."
