"A w-what!?"

I squeaked out like the freaked out, now semi hard, tomato faced genius I was.

"An escort, for Timeless. You..I'm sorry but, you didn't know?" Kia looked at me with a concerned and confused expression I simply couldn't understand.

He's confused!? I'M CONFUSED!!

"N-no! No I didn't know!? W-what!? I just..but.." my throat went dry with nerves as the realisation set in. The hints, all of the touches and kind gestures. Slumping back into my chair a bit I looked down at my food in a state of shock.

Well, now I can't eat...

Because I literally feel like I'm going to throw up right now.

Getting up abruptly I left behind an extremely confused and worried looking Kia, bolting for the bathroom connected to the kitchen. I dropped to my knees and heaved up the only food I'd been able to properly get down in days. Damn it all anyway!

"Tyler!? Hey man, it's alright" Kia's worried voice rang from the bathroom door "I'll get you a towel and a glass of water okay? Just, stay put it's alright" this guy, he really is a good person. But an escort!? I hired a fucking escort!?

Oh god...wait...has he been thinking all this time that he was supposed to be banging me?!

My eyes widened in sheer horror and embarrassment before I threw up again from the severe anxiety.

Well, that explains a lot.

Don't get me wrong. He's hotter than a tin roof in Georgia during mid summer at noon, but I would never have invited anyone here if I knew what i was paying for! I'd never have done this!

"Here...on your right"

I jumped and whined a bit when I heard the sound of his melodic voice, Kia had placed a crisp cold glass of water beside me and a folded clean kitchen towel he must've found in my pantry at the back of the door.

Embarrassed I took the water and rinsed quickly, unsure if I'd get sick again or not i didn't want to leave the floor and risk it just yet.

"Thank you" I croaked out quietly.

"No problem"

There was a moment of awkward silence before Kia helped me get to my feet when I tried to get back up, my eyes met his and he looked back at me with a saddened expression. "Are you alright? If it was the food, I'm really sorry, or the way I acted?"

Shaking my head I forced a smile and moved to the sink to wash my teeth and clean up a bit "I had no idea that Timeless was..that kind of company" I half whispered out.

Kia leaned in the door of the bathroom and smiled at me in the mirror "you really thought it was just about hanging out with people? You must've thought I was crazy" he chuckled softly. Well, At least one of us found this amusing.

"I thought you were being friendly!"

Kia's eye brow rose "what kind of friends do you have?" He joked with a small grin and I couldn't help the small snort that escaped me.

"pretty shitty ones apparently."

Kia sighed and took my arm gently, giving it a soft tug "well come and sit down, I'm not leaving you like this"

I felt my cheeks flush from embarrassment as he lead me out of the bathroom and back to the living room by my hand. What the hell was I thinking, I never should've listened to that idiot! He must've known when he gave me that card, he had to of known what it was!

How did he really pick up that card?

Kia sat me down on the couch and abruptly left to grab me a fresh glass of water. I covered my embarrassed, red face with my hands in shame. He didn't need to see me throw up, I'm sure he would have much better things to be doing right now than this.

The way he spoke to me...I couldn't help biting my lip at the thought of it..

NO! Stop it! Not right now!

Groaning in frustration at myself I shook my head, only to be interrupted by that same deadly sexy voice "some more water for you." He half whispered. I looked up through my fingers at the deeply concerned and guilty expression on Kia's face "don't take this the wrong way when I ask you this but, did you pay already?" He asked as he moved over to his bag, fumbling with some unknown items inside it.

I shook my head "no, no I hadn't." Somehow the words came out like a whisper, even though i meant to confidently speak. Some confidence must've gone on holiday in that particular moment because all that came out was a weak attempt to function.

"I was going to pay before you left"

Kia nodded, the frown on his face was suddenly  replaced by a strangely professional smile "can I have my payment now? I'm afraid I've run out of time with you today"

I felt my heart crumble slightly and my chest tighten. Oh..that's okay. That makes sense, right? He was here for a little bit. But not very long. I suppose I never specified an amount of time.

Of course.

"Sure"

I leaned over to my carry bag and dug inside it for my wallet, pulling out fifty bucks in two twenties and a ten. Handing it out to him with an embarrassed timid smile "sorry you had to put up with all of that, I knew I wasn't the smartest, but I didn't think i was this stupid" I chuckled awkwardly.

Kia shook his head and took the money from me, his face made a strange expression as he looked down at it. His fingers locked around the notes before they dissapeared into his pocket. A few moments ticked by before he spoke, picking up his bag to leave "don't say that about yourself Tyler, you're not stupid" he smiled walking over to where I sat on the couch, wrapped up once again in my blanket like the sickly person I was and kissed the top of my head.
My face flushed red and right down to my toes as he ran his larger hand and fingers through my hair "you made today a really good one" he said, backing up "finish watching that" he pointed at the tv with a smile and headed to the door.

I'm not sure how long I stared at the doorway, wondering if everything that had happened tonight was real.
