Stopping at my locker, I opened it up and grabbed the books I needed for my next class. I sighed and grabbed my pink water bottle and closed my locker, spinning the lock to make sure it would stay locked. Already tired, I pushed myself towards my next classroom and got there right as the bell rang, it was barely the second class of the day and I already felt tired.
Halfway through the the class, which was boring if I may add, I started to feel a bit out of breath and sweaty. Feeling something run down my nose, I quickly reacted my putting my palm under my nose. I looked at it and saw red liquid.
I quickly stood up from my chair causing it to fall back, my nosebleed was starting to get out of control. The blood quickly splattered down my white shirt, making it look like I had a flesh wound rather than a stupid nosebleed, why was I bleeding so much.
Mr. Herrera looked over at me, "Someone take her to the nurse quickly!" I heard someone jump out of their seats, but they didn't make it in time since I fell down before they could even reach me.

"I'm afraid, she has acute myeloid leukemia. I'm terribly sorry."
I groaned as I covered my face from the bright light, my aunt Shailene was sitting besides my bed, her eyes red as a tomato and tears flowing down her rosy cheeks. My doctor, was standing by my feet, looking down at me, a frown etched on his face. "I'm afraid we don't have the medical treatment she needs here, we're going to have to transfer her to a more updated medical hospital." I raised an eyebrow, what was wrong with me?
"Why? whats wrong with me?" I asked, my voice croaking as I spoke to my doctor. Shailene quickly passed me a cup of water, thanking her, I quietly took a sip before looking back at the doctor, waiting for my answer. He sighed and sat down at the foot of my bed, "Kristen, we ran some blood tests and the results were not so good, you have acute myeloid leukemia, its why you're so tired everyday, its why your nosebleed wouldn't stop."
I frowned, cancer? I had freaking cancer? "Where would I be going?" He gave me a tight smile, "There's an excellent hospital in the United States, we have already talked to the head doctor there, you are leaving tomorrow." The United States? Are they crazy?
"The United States? That far?" He sighed and gripped my hand, "Dr. McAndrew is one of the best doctors there, you'll be in good hands at Ocean Park Hosptial, you'll get better over there."
So its settled I guess, I'm going to Ocean Park Hosptial. This was just what I needed.
