I woke up with the sun shinning on my face, and I groaned. Did I not shut the blinds yesterday or? Pushing the covers away from me, I stood by the door. The nurses station was quite empty except for a red head who looked like she was lost.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, I managed to slip out of the room unnoticed, and I took off down the hall way. Of course, I was still tired, so I placed a hand against the wall for support as I headed down the hall.

I wasn't sure where I was going, but once I saw the view of Los Angeles from one of the second floors waiting room, I immediately sat down. The view was gorgeous, and I longed to visit the city. I wanted to get out of here, but I wasn't sure if it would ever happen.

"Shouldn't you be in bed?" I raised an eyebrow, but kept my eyes on the Los Angeles skyline. "Shouldn't you?" Leo let out a soft chuckle before sitting besides me, and I decided to ignore his wondering eyes as they traveled up my leg and to my chest.

I looked up at him, and I could see a faint hint of a blush since I had caught him staring. "So, what are you in for?" I sighed, and rested my head on my palm. "I have acute myeloid leukemia." Leo frowned, and gripped my hand, "If you ever need someone, just now im here. You might not know me, but we can change that later." I gave him a small smile, and looked back outside.

"I just want to be able to go outside or be able to walk places without getting tired or breathless." Leo pulled me into a hug, and I rested my head below his chest and he rested his head over mine. "It'll get better, you'll get your chemotherapy or whatever treatment you're gonna get, and you'll survive, and you'll be able to leave this place."

"Kids." We pulled away from eachother, and I looked up to see Nurse Jackson. "Sorry, I tend to go for morning strolls after I wake up." She glared at me, "Dr. McAndrew waiting for you in your room." I nodded and pushed myself up, and Nurse Jackson grabbed a hold of my elbow, not wanting me to fall.

She took me back to my room, where McSteamy was waiting. He was sitting ontop of the ledge by the window. Nurse Jackson helped me onto the bed, and McSteamy came over to me.

"Based on the results from the tests I ran, you're cancer is progressing quickly, and if we don't start on treating it now, you might not-" I cut off McSteamy, "I might not live, okay, what treatment am i getting?"

He sighed and sat on the foot of my bed, "You'll be getting chemotherapy, which will be split into two phases, induction and consolidation. You'll be going through induction first." I nodded, and sighed, not wanting to really be in pain, but i needed to if I wanted to live.

"Induction? What is that?" I asked, and McSteamy looked up at Nurse Jackson, who opened her mouth to answer me, "Induction is a chemotherapy that mainly tries to achieve complete remission, by reducing the number of leukemic cells in your body." I nodded, and looked back over to McSteamy, "When do I start?"

He sighed, and stood up, "You can start today if you're up for it, but if your not, we'll start tomorrow." I nodded, and decided to go with the latter, "Tomorrow." He nodded, and headed out, Nurse Jackson follow after him.

I was to tired to change out of my pjs, and I realized that I would probably stay in my pajamas forever. I sat up on my bed, and looked up at my door when I heard a knock.

It was Leo, but he was with two other people, a boy and a girl. I nodded, telling him he was aloud to come in. He rolled his way over to me, since he went back to using his wheelchair instead of his crutches.

He managed to push himself off his wheelchair, balancing on one leg for a moment before plopping down besides me. "What did the doc tell you?" I sighed, and looked over at him, "I'm starting chemo tomorrow, so I bet thats going to be fun. Said that if I didn't start soon, I would probably not survive." Leo frowned and let out a sigh.

"I thought you might want more friends, So let me introduce you to Dash and Emma." I looked up at the other two people in the room, "Hi, nice to meet you guys, I'm Kristen." Emma smiled at me, and looked around my pretty plain room, "Did you seriously meet one direction?" She grabbed a picture from one of the counters, I let out a laugh, "Yeah, I had taken my neice to a 1D concert and I managed to get a quick photo with them."

She smiled, and I could feel that we would be good friends, well, only if she could deal with my sarcasm. Dash looked over at me, "Well, I see you have an accent, thats kinda cool." I laughed, and nodded. "To me, you lot are the ones that have the accents."

They laughed, and Emma and Dash looked at each other, "Emma has homework to do, and I'm kinda hungry, so i'll see you guys later?" Leo and I nodded, and I crossed my legs as I looked up at him.

"Want to watch a movie?" I nodded, "Sure, but I don't have any movies?" Leo laughed, "Thats why we're going up to my room, come on. I dont have a roommate." I nodded, and pushed myself out of my bed, almost losing my balance, but Leo's arm shot out and caught my arm before I could fall.

His grip was tight and It hurt a bit, causing me to flinch, Leo noticed and retreated his arm back, "Sorry." I shook my head and gave him a smile, "Its okay, thanks for helping me. I might have to use your wheelchair for support though."

Leo smiled and nodded, plopping down on his wheelchair and turning around so I could grab the handle. He started to push the wheels on the chair and moved slowly. His room was only a 3 rooms away from mine.

I let go of his wheelchair and watched him as he put in a random movie in. He got onto his bed, and patted the spot besides him. I bit my lip and laid down besides him. The movie started to play, and I recognized it as The Avengers.

He grabbed a bag of chips from god knows where and handed me some, I grabbed a few. Leo yawned and put his arm arm my shoulders. I let out a small blush and cuddled up against him.

I could feel my eyes closing as I started to get tired, eventually my eyes completely closed, and I could feel Leo kiss my temple.
