Walking around the corner, there he is again. Leaning against her car. Tall and handsome, black hair, business suit with his lose tie. She still likes the look he has perfected but its never going to work out for them. In a strange way its a comfort, in other ways she wishes he would just move on. She wants happiness for both of them and as long as he keeps bringing her coffee, neither can move on. She has to put a stop to this. he has to accept she cant be with him and what they had is over.
Her long wavy mahogany ponytail blowing in the slight breeze, her green eyes light up and then dim as soon as she sees him leaning against her car. He knows he cant keep doing this, he knows she wants him to move on, that she wants to move on but he cant help himself. its not like she can expect him to move on from 10 years and just walk away. But that is what she is expecting. he wants to give her that but he cant. he wants her back. he knows he hurt her but he has been better. Yet she still left!
"Steve, what are you doing here?" She asks exasperated with this routine.
"Thia can we please talk? I miss us!" he says moving closer then she'd like.
"No Steve, we cant! I have asked you to leave me alone, and give me space. why is that so hard for you to understand. You cant keep showing up at my job and my gym. Give me my space, please?"
"I'm so sorry for all I did, but it wasn't just me. You fucked up to." Realizing he just messed up, he starts to apologize.
"Save it Steve, this is why I left. You fuck up then blame me." Throwing her hands in the air.
Throwing her purse and bag in the back seat, she slams the door. as she opens the door to slip in, he grabs it and his eyes beg for another chance.
"No, Steve just no. Now let go of my truck so I can go home! Now!" staring him down, letting him know she wont give in this time.
"So where is home?" thinking he can trick her into telling him.
"Goodbye Steve, don't come around here or anywhere I am." She slams her door and locks it.
Pulling away she wonders if he's going to follow her, maybe she should stop by her parents for awhile. she don't want him knowing where she is living. thinking back on the relationship she knows she cant do that again.
****Flashback****
A glass flies across the room and breaks against the wall just inches from her head, the screaming continues. As anything in his reach goes flying in her direction, she's cowering trying to dodge the incoming objects. Lunging at her, she tries to escape but he catches her by her hair, swinging her around to face him. She keeps thinking it will get better. Maybe she shouldn't have confronted him, but how could she not. She found the pics and the messages, he needs to be happy with her or leave.
"Who do you think you are, you are mine and so is whomever else I want, your nothing, you'll be nothing if you leave me." twisting her hair around his hand, pulling her close and then throwing her to the floor. Stepping over her crying and hurt body, snidely he walks out, but not before reminding her that he will be back, and the other women's bed he's going to.

Shivering and feeling trapped again, she heads for her mom, hoping to calm down some. Pulling up to the home she grew up in, she knows they will know what happen. Before she gets out of the car, her dad is at the window asking if she is ok and what happen.
"Yes dad, I'm fine. Just sick of him showing up unannounced."
"Come here Hun" he pulls me into his strong arms and all my worries disappear.
"Now I just need a man that makes me feel like this safe."
"You'll find him Thia, I promise. "
"Are you going to stand in my driveway or are you two coming in? "
"Yes mom, we're coming in. " giggling at my moms faked anger.
