What's Life Without An Unexpected Twist?

Days passed by, with Naira and Kartik being perfectly happy in their own lives , being busy as a bee with their respective work and family lives.

While Naira stuck to her usual routine of work, family and lying to Neeti's mom whenever Neeti had to go on a date with her boyfriend, Kartik too was stuck on his usual routine of working his ass off to earn more money.

Now, let's add a chaos to introduce them to one another, shall we? *laughs evilly*

Late one friday evening Naira got a computer generated email from her company, stating that the MNC she works at has been merged with the Wireless-Talkies - the leading company of communication industry. So from Monday, she would be wirking for Wireless-Talkies. The only happy thing about this was that even Neeti was put under the same department as her.

Naira sighed in relief- Neeti would be there to give her company at her new work place. Seeing there many of her now old colleagues had got the sack, she probably would have only a few familiar faces when she would join the Wireless-talkies office on monday. She was an introvert and hated meeting new people, or even mingling with people in general.

"Bhai" Naira whined, entering her brother's room without knocking, and directly slumping down on the bed where her bhai was working on his laptop.

"What happened Nairu?" Naksh {Naira's brother} asked, looking at the somber expression on his usually chirping sister's face.

A teary eyes Naira explained her situation to Naksh, who listened to her patiently.

"But isn't this good news Nairu? Wireless talkies is raking the markets right now and I heard that it's employees get a really good pay check! Isn't it good that you'll get a good income from your dream job? You'll get good exposure too!" Naksh said, soothingly, caressing Naira's head.

"But bhai, you know na how I.. hate.." Naira started mumbling but Naksh cut her in between.

"I know how you hate change.. you hate meeting new people and stuff, but this is what life's about Nairu! We can't always be constant.. life is a flowing river - so go with the flow! Even time doesn't wait for us - isn't that also a change? A change of time? If change is so bad, why do you use latest gadgets instead of sticking to your old, out-of-date and familiar gadgets? If change is so bad, then why do you hate re-watching movies and always insist if watching new movies every time? Not all changes are bad right? Take this as a challenge and prove it to yourself that you can adapt to a tough change and fly with shining colors! Haven't you heard the old saying that life begins out of our comfort zone? Your life is about to begin Nairu.." He said in a soothing tone, still caressing her head lovingly.

This all made sense to Naira. Yes.. she hated change, she hated having to meet new people and get accustomed to them.. But now, her job was making her do something she detested - accept a change. Naira hated change, and now she had to accept it - for her passion, for her job.

"And who knows, with this new job and increased pay, you can save-up pretty quickly for that Paris trip of yours! All we need is a guy for you!" Naksh said in a teasing tone, making Naira groan.

"Shouldn't have had told you that" she mumbled before smacking Naksh's head.

"That hurt!" He said, feigning hurt. Naira bought it and started rubbing his head, making him chuckle.

After a healthy banter and a good reassuring hug from her bhai, Naira walked back to her room, deciding to embrace this new change with confidence, open arms and most importantly- a positive outlook.

Kartik was cheerful as he had hit bull's eye at the share market and had just earned a good amount from it. His happy mood was short-lived as his eyes fell on the report that one of his team member had prepared on the recent project.
