~Unknown location~

A python slithered between bushes, trying to scope out anyone. She suddenly stopped when she saw two people. One was leaned up aginst a tree, cloth wrapped around him. Blood oozed from for the bandages.

The other person was trying her hardest to heal him, but to no arrival. The python slithered up to them. The female looked up and smiled.

"Viper! Is that you?!" The python nodded and shed it's skin. A 10 year old girl emerged from the skin, her eyes shimmering with colors. The colors faded into a dull forest green.

"Hello lily, is Jaddy ok?" Viper eyes darted to the male. (Cut it out you dirty minded freaks lol)

"No, he's lost so much blood. But I'm still trying." She said with such determination that Viper felt sorry for them.

"Well me Jacar, Maski and Kiri are all in a campsite, were looking for the rest of the League." Viper piped up.

"Well be there on the full moon, which us in 5 days." Lily said, glad that some of the other League members survived.

"Ok!" Viper eyes turned colorful again and she turned into a snake again. Thus time a copperhead. She turned and left, heading back to camp.

~Back at school~

Kiro walked up to the roof, taking in the beautiful sight of everything washed in moon light. The forestry woods surrounding the small city was washed with silver. The mountains in the distance clear without the daytime haze and fog. He breathe in a breath of fresh night air as a small breeze came by. He leaned against the railing, taking in the sight as much as possible.

~Ava's POV~

I woke up to Kiro walking up to the roof. I got up and started heading up there. I heard another pair of footsteps behind me, trailing behind me. I kept going, not caring about the footsteps behind me. I emerged to the roof.

I walked up to him and leaned against the railing like he was. I looked over at him and froze. He glanced at me, his normal hard expression melting.

"I know something's up. What's wrong?" He asked, sincerely. Without thinking I pulled away his bangs that covered his left eye. My heart instantly broke at how much worse the scar was then I organally thought.

"That. I seen it. What happened?" I tried to stay calm but i knew that my voice was probably breaking. He looked away.

"...." He looked extremely uncomfortable. Then he started shaking. I hugged him without thinking. He didn't pull away, like I figured he would. He then whispered softly in my ear.

"Don't worry about that. It's nothing that you can change." He said sadly, hugging back.

~Hiro's POV~

I decided to hang back and wait for Ava. I heard voices so I decided to peek at them to see what they were talking about. I froze when I saw Kiro's scar. It ran from the top of his forehead, across is eye, and then curved towards his ear. It was jagged, all most as if someone carved into his face with shaky hands.

How the heck did that happen?! It must if been really painful.

Then I saw his eye. It was a milky color, almost like if the moon was smooth.

He's half blind....

A pang of sympathy went through me.

He's the same age as me, and been through all of that. I wonder what else he's been through.
