Her long blond hair blows across her eyes as she hold up dresses in the mirror. She inpatiently flicks it away and turns to me.
"The blue one?" She asks. "Or the purple one?" She switches them around so the purple one lays over body.
"Try the purple one" I say, hoping I sound energetic. Or at least interested. It's hard to seem happy when the girl you love is going on a date with the cutest guy in school.
Kay's been my best friend since kindergarten. I've been in love with her for years, but she has no idea. She only talks about boys and as far as I know has never batted an eye in a girl's direction.
Luckily for me, up until the 8th grade, she's never had a boyfriend. She's had crushes on guys, but I've never had to go through the severe emotional heartbreak if seeing her dating, kissing, loving anyone else. Now, of course, in our first year of high school, none of the boys could resist her. I mean, of course not. She's 5'4, petite, with wide hips, she was a size 38D and had long blond hair that just touched her butt. The most prominent thing about her was her eyes. She had electric green eyes that seem to break you into pieces and analyze you. I found myself looking into her eyes and getting lost in the current. If you looked closely, you could see little flecks of yellow. Her eyes were a beautiful whirlpool.
She jumped down off of the little platform in her room and raises the dress over her head to put it on. I admire her body, since right now, all she's wearing is a bright red lace bra with matching panties. I see every beautiful curve of her body in the few seconds before the dress dropped over her, clinging tight in all the right places. She looks in the mirror and squeals.
"Oh my god, Sadie, I love you!" She beams and twirls in the mirror. I feel my heart constrict a little "I love you too" I say back. If only you knew how much.
