Jihoon's pov

We started eating our lunch with Jisung standing behind me and Min standing behind the girl.

The girl Chaeyong kept talking and blabbering about herself and it kinda irritates me but I must keep calm and just sent her several smiles.

So she is single and her dad passed away when she was a baby and she's only living with her mother. I kinda felt bad for her for not having a father and I could relate to her but at least she had her mother on her side. A lot of men wanted her to be their girlfriend but she declined all of 'em, well that's what she said.
She said she was the total town's people crush. Young men adored her for her beauty.

"So this guy has been following me since I was 14? Yeah 14 and then-." I cut her off

"Uh Chaeyong? I'm sorry but I don't want to hurt you.. I- this is very sudden and I don't think I can agree to this.. I can't agree to this relationship. You deserve someone that truly loves you and you will definitely get a guy that will love you and appreciate you." I stood up and bowed to her.

"Uh- Why umm. I mean.. It's fine Young prince I mean who would want to be in a relationship with a total stranger right?" She laughed but I know it was a fake laugh.

"Well I should get going now Prince Jihoon, thank you for this wonderful lunch and experience eating with you. I will never forget this." She said with her bittersweet smile and bowed to me

I nodded and she left the dining area.

I looked at Min and Jisung with disappointment. I can't believe that they set me up to this kind of situation.

I stood up and walk passed to them and told them that I will be on the lake and I don't need guards with me.

"But Jihoon-." Min said.

"I want to be alone.." I protested and said it with my stern voice and continued walking until I reached the gate.

I walked going to the lake since it's near the palace and it's just a short walk.

I just want to be alone. I want to think. Did I do the right thing? To push away Chaeyong? Who knows she must be the one that could help me? Or maybe she isn't?

A lot of thoughts kept entering my mind right now.

I get inside to my small boat and started rowing and strolling around the lake. Admiring the dark scenery, odd trees, not so clean water and a very quiet place with birds chirping. It makes me feel even more alone. When I'm at the middle area of the lake I stopped rowing and laid my back and head to the flat seat and relax myself from all those thoughts.

I was about to land at the other part of the lake when I see someone laying at the ground looking so lifeless.

My eyes widened at quickly get off the boat and went to that person.

I was shocked when I saw that the person was a girl, her face was covered by her hair and she is wearing a white dress. Her skin was pale and when I touched her hand it was so cold just like a dead person.

I went to check her pulse and she still had a pulse, I sighed in relief knowing she's still alive I quickly took her to the boat and as I went to my boat I saw one bright red rose. I picked it up since it looked so healthy and pretty and then went back to my boat and hurriedly went to the palace.

I carried her into a bridal style and started running entering the palace.

I saw the guards was confused and all panicked.

"Jihoon- what happened?" Min said as she saw me carrying the sick girl.

"I saw her laying almost lifeless on the lake.. quickly call the nurses and the doctor and heal this sick girl." I said as I was still checking for her pulse.

I looked at Min who is still on shock.

"FASTER!" I shouted and she got startled and quickly went to call the med team.

I went to look back at the girl and remove her hair that is covering her face.

My eyes widened and my heart starting to beat so fast when to see her..
