The sun broke the horizon as the world was filled with the colors, red, orange and yellow. The world woke up to a new day each had a part to play in the world. It was time to fulfill mine...

" Hey, Jacob!" I hissed, struggling to get off my bed. My legs felt weak, but it was not because I had not walked since forever but because...

Today was the day.The day I finally faced my fears.

Past.

Present.

Future.

My heart pounded wildly as I pictured my mother, in her horrible, tortured state. Almost on instinct I tore through my hair, why were my memories so blurry. All I knew that there was a raid, and my...my mother had sacrificed everything for me...

" Hey Estella, hello??? Earth to Estella?" Jacob's striking voice cut through my thoughts. I whipped my head around to see him standing beside me, waving his hand in front of my face.

Jacob was faster, he shot them a look of alarm and placed a finger on his lips. The nurses then looked at me, understanding, I shook my head as we walked outside.

I leaned on Nurse Maisie as we slowly but steadily trudged out to the waiting area. They briefed us on the consequences of not taking our medicine. I agreed and somehow, Jacob did too. I was ok with risking my life to find the answers I had been looking for forever but he didn't need to.

He could have chosen to stay behind with Jamie and the rest of the children in the ward but he decided to tag along on an adventure that he could die on, an adventure that would not necessarily work out but some how I understood.

After being locked out of the world for years, you didn't just yearn to be outside, you would die for the chance to go outside.

And it was our chance, to go outside or die?

That... we had no idea...
