I had always thought I was like every other person in London Elementary school. I thought that I was like every other member in the Lewis family with our way above average height, curly dirty blond hair, tan skin, and blue eyes. But I thought wrong. All of that can change with just one letter. On June first 1991 it came. Not like any normal letter through the mail box but no this letter was delivered through the owl post as I later found out. When I originally found the letter it was lying on my bed. On the back I saw that it was addressed to Ms. Paige Lewis #11 Grimmauld Place Floor 2 Bedroom 2. I found that odd but that letter turned my life upside down. Here is what it said:

Dear Ms. Lewis,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl no later then August 31st.

Here was the supplies list:

First-year students will require:

Three Sets of Plain work robes(Black)

One Plain pointed hat (Black) for day wear

One Pair of protective (dragon hide or similar)

One winter cloak (Black, silver fastenings)

Please note that all student's clothes should carry name-tags at all times.

1 Cauldron  (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set of glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set of brass scales

Students may also bring an owl OR toad a OR a cat.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS.

I ran down the stairs and skidded to a stop in the kitchen where my mum, Julie, was cooking pasta. "I got a letter," I stated.

"What does it say?" My mum asked.

"It  says I have been accepted to go to Hogwarts school," I respond.

"Did one of your teachers send an application in for you to go to that school?" She asked.

"I don't think so because it says that it is from Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry!" I replied just noticing that. Just then my twin sister, Claire came down part way on the stairs.

"Could you please keep it down I am trying to study for a test." She hollered.

"It's June first!" My Dad, James yelled back. "

"It's next years big end of year exam. You should be studying to Page!"

"It's NEXT YEAR'S exam!" I holler.

"So what is this talk about practicing Witchcraft?" My dad asked after Claire went back up stairs.

I hand him the letter. "I will not have my daughter going to a made up school to learn made up things!" My mum exclaims.

"I think she should go Julie it seems pretty legit to me," My dad states. Just then there is a knock on the door. "Are you expecting anyone Julie?" My dad asks.

"No," My mum replies. As she goes and gets the door. I look over my moms shoulder and see a tall oldish looking woman with her hair in a tight bun.

"You're husband is completely correct Julie. The letter is one-hundred percent legit," She said as she magically shut the door behind her. 

"How do you know my name?" My mum asked. She didn't answer. "I should get Claire down here this affects her too. CLAIRE" My twin sister then came running down the stairs.

"Oh I don't think I have introduced myself. My name is Minerva McGonagall. But that's Professor McGonagall to you," she said turning to me. Claire just stared at her.

"What is going on? Claire asked.

"Paige just got her Hogwarts letter dear," Professor McGonagall replied.

"Do I get one?" Claire asked.

 "I don't mean to be rude but it is just your sister on the list,"

"While can't she go to?" My mum asked.

Well you see Paige has magic in her blood and therefore has been accepted!" She stated with excitement in her voice. "On the other hand Claire has not I'm sorry." After a little bit of convincing it was decided. I was going to Hogwarts!
