Chapter 1

Lilly's POV:

"Will you calm down already" I couldn't help but roll my eyes once again at the melodramatic breakdown my friend is having. Closing my eyes with a sigh, I couldn't help but think what got me to this point. Closing my locker shut, I turn towards the hyperventilating redhead beside her.

"Calm down already, it's only a 75"

"Only a 75" she states oddly poised "Only a 75, that 75 can ruin my career" she finally screeched. Raising an eyebrow at the hysterical statement I couldn't help but ask  "What career, last time I checked you worked at Cannon's diner"

Crystal blue eyes lost their panic as the freckled teen paused mid-stride to stare at me in disbelief. I couldn't help but be bemused at the look the blue-eyed teen gave me, I let the tiniest smirk grace my lips. "What" she continues to stare not even acknowledging my question.

Still amused and a little put off by the look I snap my fingers in front of her peritoneal vision hoping that I can snap her out of her dazed like state. It seemed to have worked because seconds later she begins to blink.

Once, twice, till finally, she says is nothing short of dramatic

"For your information my career is jump-starting, how can I ever find the cure for cancer I'm not even good at science! It's just not mathematically possible, if I'm not good at school I'm not good at life, and if I'm not good at life than I won't get my dream job, and if I don't get my dream job I'll end up like a hobo without a job begging people off the streets for a single cent to pay for my addiction, that I will surely half, I will then fall into a deep depressed till I'm found dead at the bottom of a river at 25!"

Her breath was rabid at this point. she finishes this rather overzealous statement with her hands on her hips and air of a Stern mother getting on to her kid for eating a cookie before dinner I mused. If anything the situation is all the more amusing, as I look at my friend of 6 years. She's come a long way form the meek little girl that couldn't stand up to the big bad bully on the playground. I couldn't help but smile at the thought. Walking towards our class

"Sindy love, you do realize that is completely irrational correct. Just because you make a 75 on a test that by the way won't bring your grade down from it's standing 95%. That you can always make it up with extra credit. Plus" I stopped as I added after a second thought "You are too cute to be a hobo" I winked at the newly dubbed Sindy as she sends me a fierce glare, that is ruined by the blush that has adorn her plae cheeks.

My eyes lit with mirth as my smirk only gets bigger. She Huff's and turns away from me, her cheeks every the delightful pink hue as she mumbles disgruntling " what about my reputation"

"Oh, a reputation you say."  My mirth went as I stopped at our destination, and once again sighs. I had hoped that after the trip she would have been more self-aware and realize that others opinion doesn't matter, I guess I thought too soon.

"Hmm, a reputation you say, and may I ask what that may be" I questioned, leaning against the pale-colored locker of Jackson high, Illinois.

The redhead opted to bite her already red lips nervously, not daring to look her long-time friend in the eyes, afraid to find disgust in those usually kind, chocolate eye's.

Feeling the burning hot gaze on her, she caved. "Well....um..you see...I just" mumbling all the while. "Hmm you do know I speak English, not gibberish" I tried successful lighting the mood. Giving a tiny giggle she states more confidentially.

"I'm the type of girl who is supposed to pay attention in class, the who always smile, the girl who is different from all the rest." She said the last part head tilted downwards. I sighed  hmm, I've been doing that allot today

"you are different from all the rest you know," I said with a sad smile. I forget sometime that she is the youngest out of all of us. She's still my little flower. My beautiful little Lilly, and that she is still blooming into an independent rose. It's ironic how I'm the one named after a flower isn't.

"You don't need any reputation, you don't need any praises, your perfect all on your own." The young girl stares at me with hope. It hurts that she has such admiration for something that she should have already known. I can't help but silently pray for punishment to fall on the dammed who caused my flower all this.

"Plus" I start my signature grin in place " I don't think anyone will shame you for checking out Cane."

"I was not looking at James!" She states ferociously, but the look was once again ruined by her blushing red face that rivaled her hair. "Oh" wiggling my eyebrows at this point. " It's James now is it"

She blushes redder if that's even possible at her mistake at calling out chemistry teacher by his first name. "N..no" I couldn't contain the laughter that spurted out at her embarrassment. When I was calmed down enough I couldn't help but think how absolutely adorable she looked. Mentally shaking my self of these thoughts I go back to the point of my teasing. Who says a girl can't have fun.

" Oh come on, admit that you were practically fantasizing that Mr.cane would showing you how to make some real chemistry"

I finished with some last-minute eyebrow wiggling and smooching noises. Laughing all the while at my pouting friend as she softly shoves me.

"What's going on here" a deep gruff voice interrupts the friends' antics, as footsteps gets louder watching the two girls. Sindy always the optimistic, sends a beautiful smile at the newcomer. Running to meet him halfway. The newcomer picks her up and holds her to his chest. "Hey Sindy-cat" he gives a soft smile that seems out of place on his roughed face. "Hey, Jay-day" Sindy gives with a light laugh.

Jay-day aka Jacob Williams

Well, here you go just as I promised. Sorry, it's a little short I'll try to make it longer. I'm going for 2,000 words next time. I know it's going a little slow but I kinda thought of this as a movie so it might start off slow and gradually pick up speed. I hope you enjoyed. The next chapter I will be introducing the rest of the characters. Then a little time skips, but chapters 2 and 3 are going to be pretty boring. Chapter 4 is where the fun will begin. I hoped you enjoyed see you next week my royals and remember to always stay sweet
