When I woke up, from what seemed like a dream, my legs were covered up with bandaids stained red from my blood. I could see my parents sleeping on the side of my bed on a blue, plastic arm chair. I tried to push myself up with my arm but fell back down in pain and as I screamed my parents awoke and rushed to me along with two nurses. My dad stood at the side of my bed and hugged me as my mom stared and cried while leaning on my dads shoulder.

Once my parents sat back down I asked them where Isla was. Everyone went quiet for a few seconds. So I yelled "WHERE IS SHE" my mom jumped and tried to calm me down as my dad asked the nurses if they could hv some time alone.

Soon after the nurses left my mom and dad sat at each side of me on the bed. My mom stared at my dad as if to say 'tell her'. When my dad finally found the courage in himself to tell me he said quietly "she died". I asked him to speak up but he just sat down with his head in his hands. Then my mom said "she uhm... died". I couldn't believe what I just heard I began laughing then laughter turned into a grin then a grin turned into tears then within seconds my face was entirely soaked in tears. As my parents tried to comfort me I screamed, shouted, squirmed and yelled. As I sweated the doctors ran in and injected me then within seconds I was asleep.

A few weeks later I was stable enough to go home. Before we went home we stopped off at Isla's grave. I put the friendship bracelet I got for her when we were 7 and put it around the flowers 💐.

Ever since she died, I have visited her grave after school and told her everything that happened at school and put a photo of us underneath the flowers that I change every day.

                                 RIP ISLA
