ON MY WAY

The sound of a cars speeding along the road is all that is heard. A beating heart skips beats at the realization that Simon could be dead. I release a shaky breath, Blake looks over at me, I turn my gaze to look out the window. All the memories flooding back into me, like a slideshow.

The day me and Simon met I was running away from home, my bare feet aching from all the twigs and rocks that I had stepped on, my breathing almost breathless, I continuously looked back hoping I wasn't being followed, I never wanted to be locked up again.

My younger self ran as fast as she could ready to leave her old life behind, she zig zags in between trees hoping that her family can't ever find her again. She hopes that they gave up on her already and they wouldn't use another potion to find her, to torture her. They could tell she was different she never studied magic with them she just knew it.

She was born knowing all that she could about magic all that they knew, they never understood how could she know something like this without studying, without creating evil. But what she knew was another world then they did, she knew the difference she had from them she wasn't just a witch, sometimes she craved blood, other times she could run at ridiculous speeds, she would sit in front of a broken mirror sometimes and watch as her eyes turn from natural blue ocean eyes to red, symbolizing a vampire, into a glowing blue symbolizing what she thought could be a werewolf, and she would watch as red and blue eyes combined turning into a purple glow symbolizing an enchantress.

She never let anyone know, she knew if they found out about this, two things could happen, 1 they would probably use her as a slave to do their unthinkable killings, 2 or they would kill her.

Her mind raced as she ran thinking of all the possibilities will she escape them this time, or will she once again become their torture dummy. All too quickly as she ran she bumped into something hard, falling backwards she closed her eyes as she made contact with the ground, " stupid tree ", she cursed.

She hears something move right above her, her eyes snapped open and she came to her feet. She froze as she saw a boy, she looked up into his blue eyes, she was frozen, he stared at her with a perplexed look. He didn't know whether she was Friend or foe. She stood up causing the boy to snarl at her, it didn't threaten her, she enjoyed it, his scent captured her in his world. Sparks ignited between them, they both stared hostilely at each other.

This feeling was unknown to them, this boy had a dangerous look on his face, he didn't look like he was someone to mess with. But he stared at her anyways, he saw her messed up clothes, the dry blood on her arms, the bruises on her face, her scratched up feet. He stared at her, he stared into her eyes, they looked as clear as the ocean, he must have stared too long because she dropped her gaze to the ground." What are you doing here " , he asked.

"CRYSTAL", they both heard, she looked back starting to tremble, she looked in every direction trying to find a way out of the situation, Simon stared smelling Intruders, he let out a short howl, his father and his father's beta coming to his call, the three witches appeared in front of them Crystal gasps, standing in between them, she stares at her family fearfully,
" This is claimed territory ", the alpha states,
" Don't worry we're leaving we just came to get our daughter that keeps slipping away ", they spit out, I shake my head repeatedly,
" No no please no I can't, I can't go back with you, no please ", she says, Simon hears her voice, angelic but full of misery.
" Dad they can't take her she passed onto our land before they did she's ours now ", hearing this Crystal runs behind the boy, he glances back at her but quickly looks back at the witches.

Crystal snaps out of her memories as she hears a commotion outside of the car. She sees that she's alone in the car, she exits the car and sees police officers talking to the betas.
" Is there something wrong officers ", she states as she walks over to them,
" Are you in charge here ", one of the officers asks,
" Yes I am "
" Well what are you running cuz around 40 black SUV's isn't that quite suspicious ", I look behind me to the row of black SUVs, I turn back to the officers with my hands behind my back,
" Well that doesn't concern you does it officers "
" It does when it involves the citizens we have to protect "
" Oh you mean the citizens that are always getting shot down by police officers, yeah I didn't think so, so I advise you get out of my way and let us pass, before I have to do something that I won't regret ", they pull their guns out of their holsters, and aim it at me, I step closer to them letting one of the officers guns jab into my neck.
" I warned you ", I say, my eyes glow catching them by surprise, I let my pupils dilate, " you will let my people pass and go back into your car and if you're asked to call in what happened, you say nothing just a simple speeding ticket was given is this understood now what do I want you to do ", they stare at me hypnotized,
" You want us to go into our car and if we're asked what happened we say we just gave a simple speeding ticket ", they say in unison, as they walk towards their patrol car.

The trip was quiet until a growl escaped my throat, my beta looked back at me from the passenger seat,
" what's wrong ", my eyes stayed focused searching outside of the window bouncing from buildings to trees lines,
" we're close, we need to leave the cars ", I mumble,
" what ", Blake asks,
" Blake what the hell do you think vampires are going to think when they see a 40 black SUV's rolling up into their territory ", he sighs, " now hide the car is in the tree lines ", he turns into the forest, I jump out of the car the rest of the pack joining us, their tongues hang out of their mouths as they pant,
" what now Alpha ", Blake questions while resting his hands on his hips,
" we go on foot, but we have to be quiet, I can sense a few vamps lurking the forest ".
