Jenna's POV-
I blew smoke out of my mask. Currently, I was vaping and putting my mask over my face so the smoke would come out of the holes. I was sitting on a ridge overlooking a curve out by the bypass. It was about 1:30 in the morning. I saw the kid I helped out the other night with his paint make his way over towards the bypass. I jumped off. The jump was about 6 feet, in which my ankle hurt after, but I had taken higher falls than that before, so it was nothing. I walked over that way and turned on my mask. The kid turned, this time wearing his own mask. His was like mine, except green. His was also lit up, and I heard him chuckle. "So wait, you're now copying me?" I asked. "Well, I had to get inspiration somewhere, didn't I?" I stared at him. He put the can down just to look at me. "Is a light flickering or..?" he asked. "No, but I could've sworn you were little the other night. Even your voice-" "I had a voice changer, sweetheart. I'm 17. I'm a junior in high school. And I was kind of crouching down the other night so there's that. I'm not even trying to be a dick, or even sarcastic. I'm just saying," he stood up all the way and stretched, "What's a pretty thing like you out here at 1:55 in the morning?" "First off, you don't know what my real face looks like. Second off, good to know. I'm freshman. 15 going on 16 soon. Very soon," I replied. He shrugged, "I mean, we have the same face. And I think I'm pretty handsome." He slowly reached up and took it off again. Only now did I take in his features. Up close like this, actually paying attention to him like this, he did look very mature. Slightly curly, brown hair, was handsome, and had blue eyes. His eyes were a light blue, like the color of the sea when it meets land. That very light blue color. I slowly tapped my mask for the light to turn off and I very carefully took it off. He stared at me for a few minutes. He sat down and leaned up against the wall. He muttered something under his breath. "Hm? What'd you say? Are you being a pussy now that I've actually seen you?" "I said I wasn't wrong about you being pretty. Take the compliment and shut up," he responded. I sat down next to him. "So are we going to say our names or do we need to gain trust for a bit before then?" I asked. "Yeah, we need a base of trust before the other decides to rat the other one out," he replied. It got quiet so I pulled out my vape and started smoking. "Pass it?" he asked. I handed it to him and he blew out a puff of smoke.

I sat up, only realizing I had passed out. "Hey, doll face, sit up. It's 2:45." I groaned out slowly. "Hey, I'll walk you home. You seemed tired so I let you sleep. Do I need to carry you?" I shrugged. "Please say something. I also had to replace the flavoring stuff. I didn't mean to use as much as I did. I've been kind of stressed lately, I'm sorry." I managed to sit up as much as I could before he wrapped his arm around me. "Come on, let's stand up. I'll help you. I'm sorry." "Please stop apologizing. It's okay. I mean it. And I'll be fine. I don't need anyone to help me," I muttered. "Yes you do, doll face. I can tell. Please, let me walk you home. I don't have to even walk near you. A foot apart if that helps. Please?" I sighed. "Fine, but you can't come into my house. It's already a mess in my room. I don't need a boy in there messing it up even more." He sighed and nodding. "Again, trust before anything. You can't get in my pants or even close to that until I know your name," I said. He rolled his eyes and we started walking.

The walk home was pretty quiet. He kept asking if I was alright and I kept saying the same thing. "Yep." When we got there, he asked which room was mine. I pointed it out, "Why? So you can try and catch me changing?" "No, asshole. It's just for future reference." I sighed, "I don't know how to send you off. Friendly handshake? Fist-bump?" "I mean, I don't know. Normally when I take a girl home they kiss me. But since I don't even know your name, no. Not tonight, anyway." I chuckled. "Whatever you say, hot shot." I kissed him on the cheek. "Good night, copy cat, who also happens to be pretty chill," I said. He smirked, "Whatever you say, doll face. Good night." I walked up to my house. I turned around to see if he was still there, he had his mask on, and turned on, and was heading off back the way we came. I sighed, went inside, and headed up the stairs to my room. I went inside just to take off my jeans, throw my book bag on the ground, and put my phone on the charger. I laid down and automatically fell asleep.

I woke up to my alarm going off. I always woke up before it. It was 7:00. I sat up, ran to the bathroom, and did my routine. I got to school, and as usual the girls stopped me to taunt me. I only remembered the boy from last night when lunch came around. "Did you see anything last night, Jenna?" asked Kyle. "No sir. I even stayed out till 2. Not a thing." I look through the group just to see if the boy was there. "Hey Kyle, is there anyone out of us that hangs out somewhere else around the school?" Kyle shook his head, "No. All of us are here. We meet here everyday. No one out of this little circle at lunch. Everyone knows that." I nodded slowly. Maybe he just didn't come over here anyway. Maybe he's just from an outside town. God, I hope he is just from an outside town.
